I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

The owner helped arrange a guide to Knuckles Forest Reserve. The meals were also delicious and authenticity Sri Lankan. We would definitely stay here again.

I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!
