I took a wrong turn along the way and got slightly lost, but that’s the best thing that can happen to you in Sri Lanka. 🙂 Upon arrival, you’re greeted by tastefully decorated interiors and the inviting aroma of sumptuous food. The fresh air and tranquil surroundings create a soul-cleansing experience that lingers long after your stay. The excellent service adds to the charm, making every moment feel special. At Gammaduwa Bungalow, time seems to stand still, inviting you to cast away your cares and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and serenity of this hidden gem.

Aiaga majutusasutus The Inn At Matale asub Matales, 35 km kaugusel Sri Dalada Maligawast, 35 km kaugusel Kandy muuseumist ja 36 km kaugusel Bogambara staadionist. Dilini is an amazing host, she recommended us nice spots in Knuckles Forrest Reserve. I would definitely recommend to stay in Matale for more than 1 night and visit Knuckles as much as possible, the nature is really beautiful (although good to have a driver or a car to visit all the spots). Also, the room was very clean with all the needed facilities. Special thank you to Dilini for making a delicious cappuccino during the breakfast!

Plantation Retreat asub Kandys, Patanpaha bussipeatusest vaid 400 meetri kaugusel. Külalisi tervitab välibassein ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Toad on tüüpilises Sri Lanka stiilis sisekujundusega. Book this place when you wish to see many things in and around Kandy! The owners went the extra mile to make me super happy. He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

Very attentive and nice staff. Breakfast and dinner were great and tasty. The morning walk was so enjoyable. The reading room had even a nice puzzle which we made. Nice swimming pool. We wished we could stay longer. The dogs are friendly too. Thank you very much! 😊

Walawwa Matale asub Matales, kõigest 22 km kaugusel Bogambara staadionist. Kohapeal on aed, ühine puhkeruum ja pakihoid. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade mägedele ja aiale. Breakfast was delicious & location is very beautiful.

Aia ja aiavaatega Irene's Home asub Matales, 27 km kaugusel Kandy City Center ostukeskusest ja 28 km kaugusel Sri Dalada Maligawast. Majutusasutusel on terrass ja tasuta eraparkla. This was an unexpected find in Matale. A bit off the beaten path, but an easy walk or trishaw ride to town. Its location was a plus since it was peaceful and serene. The owner helped arrange a guide to Knuckles Forest Reserve. The meals were also delicious and authenticity Sri Lankan. We would definitely stay here again.

Mäevaatega Paradise Forest Garden asub umbes 35 km kaugusel Kandy City Center ostukeskusest. Kohapeal on lõpmatuse bassein ja rõdu. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. The location has a history, and the property was only modified as a guest house while keeping the old design. It is unique because of that. The area around the property is very quiet and very green, with many different types of trees/spices. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager (Christo). He contacted us before we arrived to make sure everything was arranged. The food was delicious, and the price was reasonable.

Absolutely calm and relaxing environment..Location is beautiful with Riverbank ..Balcony faced to river.. Staff friendly and usually supportive..Rooms clean and tidy .. Bunglowkeeper cooks delicious foods.. River bank and large garden full with many kinds of trees..

See 1930. aastate bangalo asub Knucklesi mäestiku jalamil, 98 aakri suurusel teeistandusel. I will carry this magical place in my memories for my whole life. Extremely stylish tea estate that seems suspended in time and space.. me and my girlfriend just couldn’t stop taking pictures with our camera all around the property! They have a breathtaking veranda where you can enjoy your meals, especially the dinner at sunsets.. a charming swimming pool, marvelous rooms and a private waterfall!! Amila, the manager is one of the nicest and most professional persons I have the privilege to met during my time in Sri Lanka took very good care of us and I recommend not to miss the tea plantation tour and tea tasting with Mr. Das, the historic memory of this beautiful place. What else to add? Two nights weren’t enough but that’s a good reason to go back!
