Located within 50 km of Kandy City Center Shopping Mall in Matale, Gammaduwa Heritage Bungalow and Tea Gardens features accommodation with seating area. Spacious comfortable room with separate entrance. Large bathroom with shower. Beautiful scenery if a little remote ( not a criticism, just something to be aware of) Walking opportunities straight from door. The weather wasn’t kind to us but we did get one morning when we were able to do the tea experience. The best part for me was the food - they prepared some wonderful gluten free Sri Lankan meals for me which was the best food I had in our 3 week trip. Dave is very engaging and we enjoyed our chats with him.

Sarath and his wife Deepthi are the most delightful hosts. We had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home in the jungle. We had a steam massage (highly recommended) and Sarath took us for walks around his spice plantation. It’s a beautiful place to unwind and chill, and you are looked after so well. Deepthi’s cooking is amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing house full of history surrounded by beautiful nature. Great food, lovely staff, big rooms and a yoga terrace. Would definitely come back.

Offering a garden and garden view, Irene's Home is located in Matale, 27 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall and 28 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa. I loved the old style of the house with its inner courtyards, and large verandah. Our hosts were very welcoming and attentive and generous with snacks etc. We enjoyed the bird life in the garden.

Boasting mountain views, Paradise Forest Garden features accommodation with pool with a view and a balcony, around 35 km from Kandy City Center Shopping Mall. We only had one night here. Beautiful location. dinner was a delicious classic Sri Lankan meal and breakfast was a great omelette cooked up by the wonderful Ashoka. The views are spectacular from the top of the hill. Also great view from the pool. Christo was also very welcoming and made our stay as comfortable as possible. He also took us on a bush walk around the property showing us all the different plants, herbs and fruits. If you’re lucky like we were you may spot a few wild elephants as well as the roam the hills around the property.

Featuring pool with a view, garden and views of mountain, Cottage 2010 is situated in Matale, 17 km from Sri Dalada Maligawa. Amazing experience, beautiful location, wonderful staff, excellent service, lovely staff, relaxing peaceful place, they arranged kandy city tour for me by tuktuk, delicious food. I would love to go there again. comfortable stay, extremely clean.
