The place is absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for nature, peace, relaxation, and stunning views, this is the perfect spot. Melissa was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The place is cozy and located about 20 minutes from town. The drive takes you through the heart of the countryside, allowing you to truly experience the charm of Boyacá. Incredible place, everything was perfect. The jacuzzi is super, especially with the great view. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Great breakfast. It is very quiet and perfect to enjoy the calmness of Colombia’s countryside. I will come back.
For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
I had a wonderful stay at Casa Familiar, the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Every day Mrs Mercedes prepared a delicious Colombian breakfast. It really felt like home. Hot shower was definitely a plus! The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and there is a shopping centre within walking distance (a 5-minute walk). If I come again to Duitama, I will stay there again.
