place is unique. in the middle of nowhere, just 7 km from route #1. newly renovated. room is big and comfortable. the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can ask Bernat anything about the routes around the lodge. Located very close to Mt. Hekla (Icelands' fuji). Great jacuzzi & Sauna in the back yard facing the desert view.

Absolutely loved this! Perfect for my partners birthday, we saw sunset, the northern lights and a lovely sunrise. Showers were hot and the pressure was the best out of everywhere we stayed. Coffee machine was a nice addition

Everything!! We had the top 2 cabins, numbers 7&8. The views were beautiful, the cabin was cosy and well designed. The beds were comfortable and the veranda was gorgeous! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, we were celebrating a 40th birthday, they put up fairy lights and balloons, they put cakes in the fridge for us! It was amazing! The breakfast was so delicious, such a homely place to dine and it was all cooked fresh for us. I wish we could have stayed longer. You MUST do the horse riding!!

Highly reccomend staying in Aurora Igloo for unique experience. The view is fantastic, the sunset when we arrived and then laying in the bed with the sky full of stars when you go to sleep. The heating blanket was so nice, I want one after having it for one night there. Everything is very clean and looks really good. I would definetly go there again for relaxing night away in unique place.
