For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
The hosts very super nice, they helped us with the safari and visit to Sigiriya. The breakfast and dinners we had there were some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The room was quite spacious and had a well working air con and small fridge. The were a lot of mosquitos so it was great that there was a mosquito net over the bed.
The room was comfortable with a modern hot shower available. The owner can arrange a safari which we did and we got to see dozens of elephants in the Hurulu Eco Park. Owner let us try lots of local food on way back from safari.
The hostel belongs to a very lovely family. It also has a nice and peaceful garden with hammocks, is close to the bus station, you can use the kitchen and there are mosquito nets for every bed.
Highly recommend this place. So peaceful. We loved it here so much. Dilshan and the crew here took excellent care of us. The people here are so friendly and do everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Anything they can do to help they will do.
Very good breakfasts. Room was very nice beautiful mountain right beside hotel to climb and watch incredible sunset and sunrise. They arrange very nice Tuk Tuk safari for you if you want to go to sigiriya.
Excellent value.
Good budget option to stay in Dambulla. Close to Sigiriya and Elefant safari. Comfortable bed, mosquito net, fan and AC. Wifi works reasonably well. The manager of the place was the biggest plus though; super friendly and helpful! We forgot a phone upon leaving and he arranged for it to be brought to our next location for a reasonable price - such great service!
Room is big, clean and well-equipped. Mosquito net is useful and appears quite new. Hot shower.
Host is very hospitable, preparing a sumptuous breakfast early in the morning, including a packed breakfast for my day trip.
Host also helped to arrange a good quality A/C car with driver for a day trip, at reasonable price.
Location is great, just 1km walk or tuktuk from the main bus station.
Overall great place and would recommend.
Very clean, modern, had all the amenities we needed and the bed was lovely! Wifi was really fast, ideal bathroom facilities and serene outdoor space. The property was a 10-15 min walk to the Dambulla cave temple and about a 10 minute drive to the main town area. The host was incredible, he went above and beyond for us! He organised an amazing safari tour, taxied us around for dinner and took us to an iconic sunset spot. Would 100% stay here again!!
The staff were very very friendly and helpful. Just pleasant and nice. THANK YOU
We liked the pool (although it was not very clear water, probably because there were no guests, the maintenance was excusably not worth it)
The hotel has an amazing roof top -- just empty but with a spectacular view (360° literally) So beautiful to watch the sunset (or do Yoga :)
We asked for a mosquito net and the staff hung it up within minutes.
We could leave our two backpacks for two hours when we checked out, the concierge was happy to help.
