We wanted the big tent, but we got the small one... I think there should be an option to choose when you make the booking on booking.com
Other than that. The place is amazing. I can't fault it for anything.

I would recommend to book this place.
- we saw: lioness with babies, giraffe, elephants (up close!), monkeys, hippos, kudu, impalas, many birds, snake and the team worked so hard to spot buffalo for us, and they succeeded! thank you again!
- very intimate, not a factory lodge. Loved the comfort it gives you. I think there is max 10ppl in the lodge
- almost brand new lodge, furnitures are in very good shapes, super clean and comfortable
- excellent Team made of very nice people, Lillian taking care of the facilities and guests is so friendly and always there for you. Aaron the spotter is INCREDIBLE, his eyes are amazing. Markus came late as the ranger but the 2 days we had with him was very educational. He takes the time to explain what is around and with Aaron make a great Team to spot your wished game! Marvellous duo. I hope the lodge management take good care of them!
We had another ranger in the beginning that was also very knowledgeable.
- location is prima, very calm, unless when the lions decide to make a show at night (but that’s pretty great) you can spot some hippos and impalas on the river
- tents are beautifully made but can get very very hot
- food was tasty
- no mosquitoes in December :)

Kapama Buffalo camp exceeded all expectations. It’s a small and more interment accommodation compared to their other camps on site. We stayed 3 nights, and managed to see the Big 5 and the Ugly 5 within our stay. Each game drive had no more than 6 in the vehicle which meant everyone had a side seat with a perfect view. While it’s obviously not guaranteed I found the team did everything possible to see all animals. Saying this, I do think we had the best guide - Ben. The wake up calls at 5am were made manageable when you have an amazing guide like Ben. And, an all inclusive stay made everything so easy - great food, awesome local wines.

Loved it. Was initially doubtful about a "camp". How stupid was I? Great staff - all superfriendly and all took the time to introduce themselves and give a rundown. Excellent chef who ran through the menu each day and gave us choices and unexpected treats. Loved the animals, the river, the so called tent which had the best bed of our month in South Africa together with its view of the river and animals.....if I could give it a 6 star I would.

Friendly staff and very welcoming. I appreciate the blanket and hot water bottle for the game drive during the cold months, the warm towel and drink after the game drive

Absolutely incredible stay, staff were amazing. Food was delicious. Game drives in the morning and evening were spectacular!! Up close and personal with Ellies and other bugs and goggos!
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! Tented rooms were airconditioned and plunge pools amazing with views over the valley.
The drive to the lodge was along "game drive" roads so definitely watch out for the game on your way in and out.
For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Safari Moon is an amazing and rare combination of a place that makes you feel like you're part of a family + high quality and thoughtful service. Was a true delight! From the fun game drive around the Hoedspruit wildlife estate to arranging transport for me to go to my friend's new restaurant, it was such a good experience. Highly recommend!
Everything about the property and the location is tops.
The fact that it is in the wildlife estate even when you are not necessarily looking out for animals you at times just see them. Last night we saw about 5 zebras as we were heading back to the Lodge.
The Safari Moon Team are exceptional. Right from before your arrival you are guided on activities and the gate code etc. Also at the property you are actually pampered.
The tents are located in a very nice area, with a hot tub and big veranda. The tents are only a 20 minute drive from Heodspruit and en-route to Kruger National Park. The Airconditioner was an absolute stunner. Clean linen.
Spacious room, mornings waking up to see wildlife on your doorstep, literally. Breakfast from owners and all the help the owners provided, like booking the safaris
Super cozy in the less populated part of Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. Very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. A nice surprise was all the small game visiting in the early evening: Kudu, warthog, bushbabies and even a porcupine right in front of our little veranda! They also have mountain bikes where you can do a little tour on the estate, cycling past giraffes, nyalas and other animals roaming freely in the area. Breakfast was great!
We loved the clean room. The bed is really comfortable, we enjoyed the outside shower and the seating area. We chose the wildlife estate (not a nature reserve out of town) because we wanted to be close to town to explore Hoedspruit for a day. We had not been to Hoedspruit for 2 years and wow did it change. We also did a nice walk in the estate, where we saw several residents biking and walking with their children and dogs. Martha was a lovely host and we wish her and her partner all the best with their safari business.
Amazing place. The lodge is beautiful, with a lot of animals coming to the pond in front of the property. All the staff were great, and we enjoyed very much our game drives with Thomas. We saw 4 out of the big 5 in just one game drive! We also loved our luxury tents facing the pond.
Milima is a fantastic lodge! Our luxury safari tent was just perfect looking out onto the waterhole ❤️ the staff are all amazing…. Big shout out to Thomas our guide on the 8 game drives we did… he is so incredibly knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to spend time with! Thank you Thomas 👌🏻
