Amazing old house with a great rooftop terrace for sunset views or just relaxing. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I really appreciated the owners sustainable approach - no plastic, locally sourced products. The owner provided us with helpful tips and recommendations for the rest of our holiday. Overall, very good value. Highly recommend!
Modern hotel, spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable beds and hot shower. No issues with parking. Good value at 27 rial per night. Staff allowed us to change room to have a better front view.
Lovely view. Unbelievable experience of the sunset. Nice journey to the top by a lot of steps. There's nothing to do more than one night)
Real desert experience
This place is all about location. Stunning setting perched on the mountainside in Wakan village. You can sip tea on the balcony at sunset or sunrise and watch the mountains go orange. This is the only accommodation in the village and more upmarket than what I normally prefer but the rooms are great, staff are attentive, a very good and filling dinner and breakfast is included, and it is well placed for the hikes in the area. I spent 2 nights here so I could do the long and arduous hike up to Jebel Akdar and back.
The location is perfect and very close drive to the rim walk. We enjoyed having campfires in the evening. The sunsets are spectacular. Ahmed was very warm and friendly...a terrific host.
Everything: the spacious rooms, the tasty food, the cleanliness, the facilities, the games area, the breakfasts. My child could sleep on the sofa bed. We enjoyed the veranda facing the pool, the view of the mountains, the kids' park, and the caring staff, including kind and attentive service from everyone. Rooms were cleaned daily. Everything seems brand new and extremely clean!
perfectly located in the old city center. breakfast was replaced by a buffet diner due to Ramadan. not that much food, we arrived at 7:30 and there were no more prawns or desert. the swimming pool is more of a basin type so refresh so the kids were a little disappointed. ideally located though for Nizwa and surroundings
Closed property, nice stay, food, BBQ, campfire, balcony walk, sunrise, sunset and much more fun Highly recommended for families, enough rooms to accommodate 3 families.
