Left our vehicle at meeting point and paid for return trip transport which was definitely the right choice. Others who drove themselves found driving on the sand and changing road challenging and followed us out on departure. All the staff were great and really wanted everyone to have the best experience. Sunsets from the dunes, tent accommodation, food all great. Didn’t try the shower set up, very basic. Tour to the Bedouin house, camels on the roadside, expert driving through and down the dunes, night time scorpion walk - all amazing. We missed the part in the communications where payment was cash only at time of departure but were able to go to an ATM on our return to the meeting place and take care of payments

First and foremost thing to mention is the host Said brother is really a very humble and funny person...He will make the trip memorable. His hospitality is best we ever received anywhere else. The location is isolated and awesome. Camp, toilet, dining area is clean.

The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

I would encourage everyone to spend a night at the Sultan Private Desert Camp. Our hosts were amazing and the camp itself was beyond spectacular. Thank you.

Abbiamo vissuto un’esperienza unica e autentica nel cuore del deserto, tra dune dorate. Il campo è intimo e le tende sono dotate di ogni comfort. È il luogo perfetto per rilassarsi ma anche per trascorrere piacevoli momenti di condivisione con gli altri ospiti a tavola e attorno al fuoco. Cena e colazione sono ottime e abbondanti. Vivamente consigliate anche le attività proposte. Noi abbiamo scelto il dune bashing al tramonto ed è stato divertente e adrenalinico. Posizionato ad Al Wāşil nella regione Al Sharqiyah, l’alloggio Hamood Desert Private Camp offre un balcone e la vista sulla montagna. Hamood's hospitality is really great. He makes sure that everyone has what one needs. Tents are in a beautiful location, easy walk over the dunes to sea a sunset. Do not try to get there on your own just by maps, let him guide you through the dunes. Maps will take you close, but the most challenging route is still ahead. Both dinner and breakfast was great, with a great selection. Dinner maybe slightly more limiting for vegetarians. Fridays are generally very busy and slightly noisy, but you can see how locals are having fun during their weekend. The sunset camel ride was great and so was the morning discovery of the desert with Hamood. If there's more people in the camp, be patient and enjoy the surroundings until it's your turn to be taken care of. We stayed an extra night and we're happy we did. Saturday was much more quiet and one could really appreciate the solitude of the desert.
