The hosts are really nice, rescuing visitors from being stuck in the sands. The dinner is optional, however, we still booked it as there is no restaurant nearby. I expected it just a meal set instead of a tasty buffet! Me and my partner had a good stay at Moon Light Camp.

The camp was nicely located in the dunes, there were some other camps nearby, but not close enough to notice them without walking some distance. The facilities were amazing, tents were simple, yet well equipped and the little private bathrooms (including showers) were just perfect. Sunset camel ride was brilliant and definitely worth doing. Both the dinner and breakfast were well prepared with a large variety of food, we were very impressed by the quality and quantity of the dinner and breakfasts.

First and foremost thing to mention is the host Said brother is really a very humble and funny person...He will make the trip memorable. His hospitality is best we ever received anywhere else. The location is isolated and awesome. Camp, toilet, dining area is clean.

The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

The owner is a very nice person, you feel very welcomed. The food is very good. The tents are very comfortable. You can enjoy the sunrise view from your room. We really like this place! Highly recommended

Posizionato ad Al Wāşil nella regione Al Sharqiyah, l’alloggio Hamood Desert Private Camp offre un balcone e la vista sulla montagna. Hamood's hospitality is really great. He makes sure that everyone has what one needs. Tents are in a beautiful location, easy walk over the dunes to sea a sunset. Do not try to get there on your own just by maps, let him guide you through the dunes. Maps will take you close, but the most challenging route is still ahead. Both dinner and breakfast was great, with a great selection. Dinner maybe slightly more limiting for vegetarians. Fridays are generally very busy and slightly noisy, but you can see how locals are having fun during their weekend. The sunset camel ride was great and so was the morning discovery of the desert with Hamood. If there's more people in the camp, be patient and enjoy the surroundings until it's your turn to be taken care of. We stayed an extra night and we're happy we did. Saturday was much more quiet and one could really appreciate the solitude of the desert.

Said and his time were incredibly warm and eager to share the desert / omani culture with their guests. Truly went extra mile to ensure we could try fresh dates, camel milk amongst other food items! Dinner / breakfast were decent, tents were comfortable. Experience felt very close to nature / omani people compared to other camps we passed by. Our desert tour was wonderful, passing by Bedouin people and many camels!
