Villa Lumbung Salak is a hidden gem of the mountain. Once we surmount the short, rough ride of the climb on the ragged road, we love the raw beauty of nature and the tranquility it offers. We experienced the genuine hospitality of Indonesians with their smiles, delicious welcome drinks, and food (fried banana and hot tea – best food in rainy weather). We had a short but fulfilling walk in the mountain under the tall pine trees towards the refreshing waterfalls. We watched the beautiful sunrise in the morning as the daybreak evaporates the fog and the singing frog sound changes to the crow of a rooster. It was a brief and yet very relaxing break. The villa offered the comfort of a home, and the experience is a commune with nature. I highly recommend the place.
