Set near Jaisalmer Fort and Lake Gadisar, Best Desert Camp In Jaisalmer Red Velvet is in Jaisalmer and offers free private parking and a restaurant.

We were staying for a few days in Jaisalmer at Red Velvet and staff suggested we go out for a night of glamping in the desert. As this is their desert camp all the arrangements were made for us. Transport was in a great vehicle and part of the price. Red Velvet is a family run business and we were taken to the camp by Nazir. We arrived early afternoon- we sat out side in a purpose built shaded area drinking chai and enjoying the peace after the bustle of a morning exploring the amazing fort in town. We had a bit of nap time in our well appointed glamper- spacious room with separate bathroom. All modern fixtures. Late afternoon we went on a camel ride to watch the sun setting in the desert. I wasn't keen but was pleasantly surprised- it wasn't as uncomfortable as I was expecting and certainly worthwhile doing. The sunset was spectacular! Afterwards we cameled back to camp where we had a coupe of hours of fireside entertainment-local singers and dancer. We were served drinks and copious snacks (really a lot so I didn't feel like dinner) Dinner was a buffet and offered the standard array of local dishes. A night under the stars- that was so lovely as we were there for full moon. Next morning it was breakfast (buffet and a reasonable choice) and then we were driven back to the hotel

It was a pleasant time spent at Excellent Desert Camp. Habib bhai provided a great hospitality and helped throughout the stay and guided the best. We enjoyed the Camel ride jeep ride and the cultural event that was organised. The place was very fascinating and very clean. Highly recommended to visit this campsite.

The hostel was excellent! Very clean, large rooms, fast WiFi and brilliant staff! Rizwan helped us with our bags and everything that we needed on our stay. When we left to visit the desert they allowed us to keep our bags at the hostel over night free of charge. They also let us use shower facilities on return. The rooftop view and comfort is beautiful. One of the best if not the best hostel that I have stayed in.

We stayed at hotel amazing during our trip to Jaisalmer. We had a great experience from the check-in, tour support, food and check-out. We booked the non-touristic overnight camel and camping safari with the hotel and had a very fun and memorable evening. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a more outback experience away from the busy resort/glamping style tours. Also the hotel bed is the most comfortable we have had in India!

Best service, warm welcome, best vegetarian food I had so far on our trip to India. Delicious food credit to chef You UNAD Khan. Great Hospitality by Mr Khan. He and his team looked after us really well. Great jeep safari And Quad bike middle of the desert great night so far is the well, accommodated individual jeep for my family only. This is underrated camp site on Internet. For me this is a 5star camping facility and experience. Great evening entertainment as well.
