The beds are really comfortable, and the hotel area just has a really nice vibe. You can cook easily in the common room, and have it in your lodge. Close to Te Anau and 2 hours away from Milford. There were enough toilets dispersed around the camp that we could always find an empty one when we needed it. Perfect location for Doubtful Sound tour departures. Possum Lodge is in a great spot, you can walk through the woods to the harbour for the boat trip to Doubtful Sound. Its just a shame there isn't a view of the lake. The kitchen area was well stocked, although it was maybe a bit small for purpose at peak times. The bathrooms were very clean. Staff very quick to respond to requests. Parking right next to room with picnic tables under trees for delightful eating spot. 15 minutes to Te Anau for coach to Milford Sound and 3 minutes to harbour for cruises to Doubtful Sound.
