The location is not too deep into the desert, so there's no need to endure a long drive on bumpy roads.
The dinner included roasted camel meat, which was exceptionally delicious.
We tried quad biking with Niam as our guide and instructor, who was very professional and kind, and we witnessed an incredible sunset.
The Sunrise Camel Tour was also fantastic, allowing us to behold a beautiful sunrise.

Staying at this property was a fantastic opportunity to experience the desert. Located right at the gate of Wahiba Sands, the hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, creating an authentic and charming atmosphere. The cottage houses are lovely, featuring big windows and terraces that allow you to take in the peaceful and quiet surroundings.
Plus, it's easily accessible by a normal car - no need for a 4x4, which makes getting there hassle-free.
The dinner was delicious.
Overall, a wonderful place for a relaxing and scenic desert stay!

Abdullah is so sincere and lovely local host, he will tell you about their culture and make you feel at home. Did the sunset 4WD with him and it’s really a must do, can highly recommend. You can also walk to the dunes yourself but prepare for a proper workout. The dinner was nice and plentiful, there is coffee, dates, water and fruits always available at the lobby. Rooms are nice and big, AC works well and there is hot water in the shower. The road to the camp is accessible with a normal car, just have to have enough speed when crossing short bits of sand.

We had a fantastic time at this camp. The place was well set up, with a cozy swing out front that added a charming touch. Both breakfast and dinner were decent, and the overall vibe was very welcoming.
The host arranged an exciting dune bashing session and took us to watch the sunset — totally worth the extra charge!
At night, you can wander off into the quiet desert, lie down, and gaze at the stars. I even spotted four shooting stars! It was truly an unforgettable experience.
Offering a terrace, Atana bidiyah private camp offers accommodations in Al Raka. Towels and bed linen are offered in the campground. The property has an outdoor dining area.

The Camp was great, had a wonderful night of sleep and Jassim was a great guide and driver, had a wonderful time disconnecting from everything, enjoying the silence, the dunes and the stars

The food selection was great and the quality was decent. The access road is fairly easy so even if you haven’t driven in the desert before you’ll be fine (as long as you remove some pressure from your tires!). The movie theater outside was a lovely idea (they showed Aladdin!) and the setting was a nice touch.
Sands Dream Tourism Camp in Shāhiq provides accommodations with a garden and barbecue facilities. There's a private entrance at the campground for the convenience of those who stay.
Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or RV park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-pitched tent, RV, or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms, and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
The location is stunning, perfect spot to enjoy the sunset on the dunes and a starry night by the campfire. Hamood and Khalid are the perfect hosts, they make you feel at home and spoil you with good food. Highly recommended!
One of the closest stays to Wadi Bani Khalid - 30 to 40 min drive. Since we arrived here the previous night, we were able to reach Wadi Bani Khalid in time the next morning. Very Clean and spacious room. Good Parking space. The owner was also very helpful.
We had a great time in Safari Glamping! The camp is made of only three tents so the atmosphere is really comfortable and intimate. Breakfast and dinner were really plentiful and delicious, thanks to our chef, the guy who runs the camp
It was the nicest experience ever! Hamood and his nephew Khalid were really the best :) Strongly recommend! We've experienced campfire, stories about the stars (told by Hamood himself), a very good dinner and breakfast (cooked with heart). We also toom trip by camels under the stars and it was one of the best experiences ever. Don't hesitate, book your tent on Hamood camp!
Great location, not many other tents around. The beds are super comfortable. Hamood and his nephew Khalid are great. Very hospitatable guys. We could go sandboarding, had a campfire and looked into the stars with a telescope. Great experience for a good price.
We enjoyed the very personal touch. We booked a tour and the owner himself (Kaid) guided us on an extraordinary exploration tour. We learned a lot about people and country. In the evening the owner family accompanied us at the campfire. Even the location is not in the deep desert it is worth staying at this camp since the offered tours explore the desert.
Excellent welcome by Hamood and his nephew, in a very comfortable, small camp. Excellent meal and evening by the campfire. Various activities on offer, including a camel ride in the dunes at night. Very good bedding.
What a wonderful stay! If you are looking for a peaceful time in the desert, this is the place to go. Hamood is such a great host: despite a water issue that he managed to fix, he spent the evening with us watching the stars and playing the guitar around the campfire. He then took us the next morning to a trip in the desert to meet Bedouins and show us his preferred places. Thanks again Hamood!
The overnight stay at Bubbles Domes was incredibly nice. The accommodation is very nicely furnished and very clean. The owner exceptionally friendly and accommodating. For the overnight stay, you can book the transfer to the accommodation, dinner, breakfast, a desert tour with the off-road vehicle and camel riding. We did everything and are still absolutely thrilled and would come again. Thank you!
