We expected something fairly basic, but it is not basic at all! What a magnificent place. Superb location, massive and very luxurious rooms with full view of the bush and a stunning restaurant and bar area. We also expected to struggle for food. But Mababe River lodge has a wonderful chef, and our meals were delicious and very plentiful. The staff is also very welcoming and professional. We had tons of wildlife around our rooms, including hyena and lion. We will most definitely be back!

Acacia Camp pune la dispoziție cazare în Chiro Pan, la 36 km de Parcul Național Mababe Gate Chobe. Aeroportul Maun se află la 95 km. This is a wonderful place with great facilities. Spectacular views, the caretakers and staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you. The lodge is located right between Moremi South and North gate, perfect to travel to both gates or the Chobe entrance. There are two pool areas, one overlooking the surroundings with a (natural) pool in front of it with regular wildlife visits, a bar and the sunset at the end of the day. It has a cozy lounge area next to it with a lot of privacy. The second area has a bigger pool annexed to the restaurant (with tasty food) and some lounge areas. The camp sites are a couple of minutes drive from the lodge, offer a lot of privacy and are also very convenient to stay with a group. They offer a private bathroom (or two annexed), toilets and fireplace (for BBQ), all amenities are very clean and you get the chance to experience wildlife first hand, which is exhilarating!! We felt safe throughout our stay and the staff was super attentive, bringing more wood for the fire in the evening. The lodges also look beautiful and there’s a walking bridge that connects all areas. A special thank you to Jolande and Johan for the warm welcome, chats and tips. Go and experience it, you will not regret it!

Excellent quiet location as it is 10km south of Maun so none of the usual town noise. We had a chalet that was clean and comfortable with a lovely open air shower. Good to have electric sockets in the room and wifi to catch up with the world. Food in the restaurant was OK being mostly burgers and pizza.
