We expected something fairly basic, but it is not basic at all! What a magnificent place. Superb location, massive and very luxurious rooms with full view of the bush and a stunning restaurant and bar area. We also expected to struggle for food. But Mababe River lodge has a wonderful chef, and our meals were delicious and very plentiful. The staff is also very welcoming and professional. We had tons of wildlife around our rooms, including hyena and lion. We will most definitely be back!

Letisko Maun je vzdialené 95 km. we stayed at the tent campsite, which is 3 min of driving from the lodge. campsite is huge, nice and clean ! we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge, superb ! The manager Johann was so kind to help me out with 20 l of diesel, thanks ! If you come from north, dont listen to Google maps, dont leave main road, go straight, then turn to the Mankwe lodge.

The staff are super friendly and helpful.. we booked the canoe (mokoro) through them which was an amazing experience. Very well organised, the packed lunch was delicious, the guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. Also the driver who took us to the mokoro place (Lovemore) was super nice. All in all it was a very great experience.
