An amazing adventure for my son who was stranded on Jersey for a night due to a cancelled flight. fantastic location, staff and very lovely and great facilities. I panicked when his flight was cancelled as we don’t live in Jersey but had travelled to the island from France with him so he could catch a flight back to the uk. We were faced with a dilemma. the airline would pay for his accommodation but of course not mine to accompany him. He is autistic so staying at the wildlife camp was the perfect solution. He would be able to stay in a safe and enclosed environment which he had already visited and so knew for 24 hrs on the island, travel there and back to the airport by taxi and have a solo adventure with known perametres. it turned a worrying situation into something wonderful. When he got there the staff were brilliant and his room a geodome tent and really cosy. he had a private bath room with loo and walk in compact shower, and a kitchen, as well as electricity sockets and WiFi. He also had free access to the zoo which he really enjoyed. going around it in the evening and the next day. He was able to leave his bags during the day too. A highlight for him was being roused in the morning by the calls of lemurs and gibbons. All in all a fantastic experience and one which means I hope to go myself one day.
