Albany has great places to discover, in the city, the harbour, on the coastline and in the countryside. The National ANZAC Centre and Park are well worth a visit.
We enjoyed visiting the Torndirrup National Park where we saw the wonders of the Gap and the Natural Bridge. A journey out to the Porungorup National park to walk the skyline was also enjoyable. Wear good walking shoes. You’ll need to pay a National Park fee. There are vending machines at the entrances to these parks. A 5 day pass is worth it if you are spreading out your visits.
The locals at Albany were also very friendly. Oceans Church was great. There’s an invitation for all to join them at Easter, 9am and 11am.
There are some good restaurants. The Earl Spencer Pub was great. It’s a good idea to prebook a restaurant on a Sat night.

Nice historic town in SW Australia with interesting things to do for a couple days. Albany is also nicely situated if you are interested in hiking, beach visits and outdoors opportunities that are in pretty much all directions.

Albany is a beautiful town, surrounded by hills and blessed with some of the most incredible beaches, inlets and harbours in the South West. Most of the heritage buildings have been kept in tact and this adds to the cultural ambience.
It has the convenience of a modern town, but the delightful experience of driving not far out of town to lovely rural spots and beaches and natural wonders such as The Gap, The Natural Bridge and the Blowholes. It also houses a distillery with some of the best whiskey and gin in WA.
It is a great location and not too far from Perth if you don't want to travel a long distance.

Albany is blessed with the most beautiful natural features - squeaky white sand beaches, national parks with an excellent range of well maintained walks. The drive along Frenchman's Bay Rd is stunning and it is the hop off point for many scenic adventures.
The old part of the town of Albany is very picturesque, perched on the side of the hill, with the still operating port nearby providing lots if visual interest.
The Desert Mounted Corp memorial and lookout is stunning, day and night - we haven't made it to the Anzac Centre yet - it's on our list for next time, and we've heard it is wonderful.
We ate lunch at Six Degrees hotel and it was excellent. We wandered through the Down South Arts and Craft collective and bought some art to take home and for gifts. The IGA on Proudlove Parade is excellent. The Dan Murphy's on Lower Stirling Tce is excellent.

Great location and fantastic little units. A street or two down from the beautiful Middleton beach and lots of lovely coffee shops. Reception staff were very friendly and orientated us to the area and key attractions which was fantastic. The unit was clean and with a well equipped kitchen, great for a family to stay. Heritage type building reminding guests of Albany's history. Would stay again.
We love Albany and especially Middleton Beach. Dolphin Lodge is perfectly placed at Middleton Beach, a stunning long white beach with Ellen Cove tucked under the edge of Mt Clarence.
Great dining places nearby, peaceful, pleasant and relaxed.
Our apartment was lovely, comfortable and very well equipped for self sufficiency; close to eating places, mountain treks and beach walks, swimming.
Great place to stay. Close to Middleton Beach, restaurants etc. Friendly staff. Great apartment. The best place we have stayed in Albany - we have been going there every year for the past 40 years.
This property is perfectly located for an Albany holiday. Fabulous facilities and obviously recently renovated. Comfy beds, and everything we needed. And our dog loved the big back yard.
