My wife and I have visited Albany many times over the Years, just find it a pleasant pace to be ,the major problem with albany is getting the weather right, our favorite restaurant is Majuba Bistro, Love the horse races if you are lucky enough to be there when they are on,

Lots to do in Albany and it's surrounding areas.
Lots to do in Albany and it's surrounding areas. Restaurants in Albany of a high standard . Better than Margaret Rivet..Dylan cafe on Stirling Terrace is fabulous! Best rhubarb and raspberry tart ever! Also try vanilla sauce. Amazing. Lovely staff and fabulous food! Little Italy also ex Ellen. Try the arancini. And the Rustlers Steakhouse had excellent steak but a little expensive. Staff excellent but beware they do charge GST on top of the bill.

Albany has great places to discover, in the city, the harbour, on the coastline and in the countryside. The National ANZAC Centre and Park are well worth a visit.
We enjoyed visiting the Torndirrup National Park where we saw the wonders of the Gap and the Natural Bridge. A journey out to the Porungorup National park to walk the skyline was also enjoyable. Wear good walking shoes. You’ll need to pay a National Park fee. There are vending machines at the entrances to these parks. A 5 day pass is worth it if you are spreading out your visits.
The locals at Albany were also very friendly. Oceans Church was great. There’s an invitation for all to join them at Easter, 9am and 11am.
There are some good restaurants. The Earl Spencer Pub was great. It’s a good idea to prebook a restaurant on a Sat night.

Nice historic town in SW Australia with interesting things to do for a couple days. Albany is also nicely situated if you are interested in hiking, beach visits and outdoors opportunities that are in pretty much all directions.

Albany is a beautiful town, surrounded by hills and blessed with some of the most incredible beaches, inlets and harbours in the South West. Most of the heritage buildings have been kept in tact and this adds to the cultural ambience.
It has the convenience of a modern town, but the delightful experience of driving not far out of town to lovely rural spots and beaches and natural wonders such as The Gap, The Natural Bridge and the Blowholes. It also houses a distillery with some of the best whiskey and gin in WA.
It is a great location and not too far from Perth if you don't want to travel a long distance.

Great location and fantastic little units. A street or two down from the beautiful Middleton beach and lots of lovely coffee shops. Reception staff were very friendly and orientated us to the area and key attractions which was fantastic. The unit was clean and with a well equipped kitchen, great for a family to stay. Heritage type building reminding guests of Albany's history. Would stay again.
The beach view from our neat and clean little chalet was breathtaking. Comfortable beds. We have enjoyed a most comfortable and enjoyable week in Albany. We will recommend Acclaim rose gardens beachside holiday Park to any friends and family travelling to Albany.
Modern spacious apartments with ample parking and walking distance to beautiful Middleton Beach as well as some cool cafes and eateries. Recommend this location and establishment for an Albany stay.
My go to hotel in Albany, great location and friendly staff. Checked in early with no problem and the room was ready and clean as usual. This hotel is in the perfect location for morning sunrise
