We had a great time at the Hidden Valley Resort. We were there for 2 nights, including New Year’s Eve, which turned out to be an awesome evening at the hotel. Great party, music and fireworks show at 6pm just outside the hotel (perfect time for younger kids to enjoy as well). Our group of over 20 people had a really good time - adults and kids (6yr old - 15yr old kids)! The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but clean. Breakfast was okay for the price. Kids loved the pool and having the ski hill right there was a bonus! Overall we were all pleased with our stay and would recommend for budget friendly getaways :)

The room was similar to the one we stayed in the first time. However, the fireplace was a lot tinier, making it difficult to light and sustain a fire. The logs just didn't have enough room to stand up. That was annoying. The ice was also thawing/melting and we weren't able to enjoy the lake or the premises/location at all, due to the ice rain conditions at the time.
