CanadaWe had a great time at the Hidden Valley Resort. We were there for 2 nights, including New Year’s Eve, which turned out to be an awesome evening at the hotel. Great party, music and fireworks show at 6pm just outside the hotel (perfect time for younger kids to enjoy as well). Our group of over 20 people had a really good time - adults and kids (6yr old - 15yr old kids)!
The hotel itself is a bit outdated, but clean. Breakfast was okay for the price. Kids loved the pool and having the ski hill right there was a bonus!
Overall we were all pleased with our stay and would recommend for budget friendly getaways :)

Dwight is located on Lake of Bays, has very nice Dwight public sandy beach. There's also very easy access to trails, lakes, Oxtongue Rapids and Algonquin, Arrowhead and Ragged Falls Provincial Parks. We stayed two nights in Dwight, exploring the lakes on the area by jetski in the day. There are lots of lakes yo explore. All are really pretty. I can’t imagine the place with such a good rating in Dwight area; but the cleanliness and hygiene has nothing to do with this property. The illness was so bad that we couldn’t get a time to address the concern via call as we were coming from Tobermory and was really in good mood but the place has spoiled our mood and whole trip. There is a grassy play area with swings at the front and Dwight beach is 1-2 mins walk. There is a bakery, general store, post office and gift shop within 5-10 mins walk. We had to meet with the builder and needed a place to stay. As we have had the cottage in our family since 1950, we have driven past The Dwight Motel a gazillion times and have admired the property as have all our friends.
