Bern is a beautiful city.
Bern is a beautiful city. The availability of public transport allows you to enjoy your time without wasting time waiting. The addition of free local transport included in your hotel stay is excellent and allows you to concentrate on where you want to go rather than the cost. Yes, it can be expensive for food and drinks, but the service and facilities are excellent. We visited everywhere we want to go Paul Klee Zentrum, the Bear Park, Einstein museum, the clock tower and the Parliament building is stunning. For the boys we visiting the Wankdorf football stadium which was interesting and easy to get too also. We finished our trip back in Basel before heading to the airport sitting with coffee overlooking the Rhine in the swiss sunshine.

Bern is a lovely medieval city with great museums and vibrant old town. There are great beirgartens with overlooks offering sweeping views of the city. The Bearplatz is a great area to see the bears and walk along the river. We loved the Fine Arts Museum.

Loved Bern!!!
Loved Bern!!! Wish we had a few more days to truly visit all the wonderful things about the city. There was so much to see and do. If the opportunity exist, I will definitely come back and stay longer. We did a lot of walking in Bern so wear comfortable shoes as the streets are made of cobblestones. If you check out the rose garden, it is atop a steep climb so pace yourselves. But the view is well worth the climb and they have a nice cafe there too.

Bern is the ideal city to stay in for first time travellers...
Bern is the ideal city to stay in for first time travellers to Switzerland mainly because accommodation was cheaper than Zurich and it is more central to the places we want to see including Interlaken, Iseltwald and Gruyeres so that meant spending less time on trains than if we stayed in Zurich.
The town had such a lovely old town vibe and there was so much to see on foot and by bus. We loved walking across the bridge to see the Aare river and eating the famous Rosengarten as the sun set. We also loved how convenient it was to get the bus and the main train station from our hotel. Buying food from the local coop was also easy!
You could easily do a two day stay in Bern and see most things but since we came back to Bern each night after our day trips, we saw it across 4 days and felt that was enough. If we stayed one more night, we would have wanted to explore the Bear park and try to spot the bears!

Very clean and nice room! Perfect for a longer stay and accommodated pets. Coffee and drinks + snacks available in the lobby for buy 24/7 which was great! You get a free bus ticket for the duration of your whole stay in Bern. The bus takes under 10 minutes to the Center and leaves basically from the hotel door. Aldi grocery store right next door but not open on Sundays so keep that in mind. Laundry possible which was also nice! We had a great stay!
Great location, in the middle of the busy area of the city but still very quiet in the rooms. There was daily room cleaning which was very nice.
The staff at reception were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was good and on par with other hotels in Switzerland (yogurt, cereals, juices, croissants, bread, boiled eggs, cured meats and fruits). There was not many gluten free options in the breakfast for my partner.
Amazing hotel , location , facilities, very very very friendly staff Sara is amazing and so helpful and smart Mohammed was so understanding and so helpful
Whole team is amazing
I will surely stay there and only there every time i visit switzerland
Very comfortable hotel and in a super good position to visit Bern, you can have a walk from the hotel to Rosengarten then to the Bärenpark and then to the old town.
Not too far from the city, the hotel is located in a nice quiet suburb and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Good value for money for Switzerland.
