The hotel authorized non electrical cars to park in the electric station. So instead of having a pleasant stay we had to stop the day after to charge the car and lost all the morning . You couldn’t go out because out of battery and no cars loading just some friends of the hotel.
Dinner in hotel was terrible 100€ for two hambúrgueres with dried bread.

Bern is a beautiful city.
Bern is a beautiful city. The availability of public transport allows you to enjoy your time without wasting time waiting. The addition of free local transport included in your hotel stay is excellent and allows you to concentrate on where you want to go rather than the cost. Yes, it can be expensive for food and drinks, but the service and facilities are excellent. We visited everywhere we want to go Paul Klee Zentrum, the Bear Park, Einstein museum, the clock tower and the Parliament building is stunning. For the boys we visiting the Wankdorf football stadium which was interesting and easy to get too also. We finished our trip back in Basel before heading to the airport sitting with coffee overlooking the Rhine in the swiss sunshine.

Bern is a lovely medieval city with great museums and vibrant old town. There are great beirgartens with overlooks offering sweeping views of the city. The Bearplatz is a great area to see the bears and walk along the river. We loved the Fine Arts Museum.

Loved Bern!!!
Loved Bern!!! Wish we had a few more days to truly visit all the wonderful things about the city. There was so much to see and do. If the opportunity exist, I will definitely come back and stay longer. We did a lot of walking in Bern so wear comfortable shoes as the streets are made of cobblestones. If you check out the rose garden, it is atop a steep climb so pace yourselves. But the view is well worth the climb and they have a nice cafe there too.

Bern is the ideal city to stay in for first time travellers...
Bern is the ideal city to stay in for first time travellers to Switzerland mainly because accommodation was cheaper than Zurich and it is more central to the places we want to see including Interlaken, Iseltwald and Gruyeres so that meant spending less time on trains than if we stayed in Zurich.
The town had such a lovely old town vibe and there was so much to see on foot and by bus. We loved walking across the bridge to see the Aare river and eating the famous Rosengarten as the sun set. We also loved how convenient it was to get the bus and the main train station from our hotel. Buying food from the local coop was also easy!
You could easily do a two day stay in Bern and see most things but since we came back to Bern each night after our day trips, we saw it across 4 days and felt that was enough. If we stayed one more night, we would have wanted to explore the Bear park and try to spot the bears!

The hotel is conveniently located, great set of restaurants all around. The staff is simply wonderful and I cannot stop raving about them. Right from checkin to support provided to fix our baggage handle issue was outstanding. Similarly when we connected with the reception to be able to heat some food and she was so very helpful. I must say that this was the best service that I experience in all of my 15 days stay in Switzerland. The bed sheets were always crispy white.
Very clean room in very good new condition. Nice table and chairs to eat your meals on. Checked in with the app before we arrived so just went straight to our room. It's wonderful to have a kitchenette in expensive Switzerland to save some Euros. Aldi right next door. A great free outdoor swimming pool right across the road also. TV has channels from many different countries. The laundrette in the building is great too. Costs a few Euros.
The breakfast room was open during the day with hot water and microwave supplied. This was a real bonus, as eating out was way too expensive in Switzerland. All hotels should take note of this.
Staff were polite and helpful. Tram stop close by and made easy access to the city and station. Hotel provided a free tram and bus pass.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we’re very happy with it. it’s really a great location for exploring Bern, always clean, spacious rooms, and good value for money for Switzerland.
