I liked that each floor had washing machines, I didn’t use them but thought of them as very useful. The rooms were very comfortable as well.

Located in Frankfurt and with Eiserner Steg reachable within a 7-minute walk, Hotel Schopenhauer Hof has a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar.

The location was very convenient and safe. There were many restaurants across from the hotel. Room decor was dated. Otherwise comfortable bed. The room felt a little stuffy and warm. There was no temperature control inside the room. Luckily our room had a balcony where we could open the door to get some cool fresh air.

FAQs about hotels in Frankfurt

The Beating Heart of Europe

Located near central Germany, Frankfurt is not simply the beating heart of the country, it’s also the lifeblood of the European Union.

The German Federal Bank and the European Central Bank are based here, so naturally this is a city where commerce thrives. In fact, the skyline is so punctuated by skyscrapers that Frankfurt is affectionately known as Mainhattan, a pun on the Main River that slowly meanders through the city.

Lining its banks is Museumsufer, a district with over 20 museums including Goethe’s birthplace and the Frankfurt Historical Museum. The tower of the Gothic-style Frankfurt Cathedral, which played an important role in the Holy Roman Empire, has impressive views of it all.

In the shadow of the modernist architecture remain traces of quintessential Germany. The reconstructed half-timbered facades in Römer square are picture perfect, and the cobbled streets of Fressgass are always full of locals deciding which café to dine at.

Served by Frankfurt Airport - one of the world’s busiest - this pumping city is always on the move. This means that hotels in Frankfurt get booked up pretty quickly, so book early with Booking.com to secure the accommodations of your choice.

    Frankfurt is a beautiful city.

Frankfurt is a beautiful city. But the area around the Main Train Station is very crowded and dirty. Tourists feel insecure around Frankfurt Central Station. Hope authorities clean that area. It was not like that a few years ago.

The city is beautiful but simple, there are not many places to visit and there is a lot of concrete, the inner beauty and culture are weak but generally beautiful. Not every street is safe in the evenings, but if you are on the right street you can see the historical areas.

Frankfurt is a city of contrasts, where modern skyscrapers stand alongside traditional German architecture. However, the issue of homelessness around the central station should be addressed. The city offers excellent restaurants with a diverse range of international cuisine. While it may not be among the top 10 destinations in Europe, it is still worth exploring beneath its towering skyline.

We were passing through enroute to France. We visited the Zoo which was nice but not spectacular or one to remember forever. We visited the Main tower with the viewing platform which was spectacular. We didnt have time for a longer visit.

The location is great – 1.5 km from Messe Frankfurt and 3 km from the old town. You can easily get around on foot or by scooter. There are several grocery stores and cafés nearby. It’s also convenient that the hotel offers most essential services, including internet, a work area, a bar, and breakfast.

The hotel was perfect for our needs. Supermarket and cafe right outside the front door. Local main train station Frankfurt Sud about 15 min walk to the hotel. It’s a little bit out of the city centre. A 15 -20 minute walk to the local bars and another 15 into the city centre.

It is a nice hotel to stay in when traveling from Frankfurt airport. And it's not far from the city center. The public transportation is good. The room was spacious and nice. The hotel is facing a beautiful park on one side.
