Everything. Breakfast was lovely. Tasting menu was amazing. Staff were great, especially the girl on the reception/room service who we saw the most. Would visit again and highly recommend. Stayed in one of the ?garden rooms (seperate building with large room and bathroom). Was a very pleasant stay. Peaceful and private.

A lovely village with lots of amenities and access to many walks through the glorious Chatsworth estate. We had a lovely family meal at the Wheatsheaf, lovely and very helpful staff, delicious food, and dog friendly. The main road through the village is very busy and we found it extremely difficult getting out of the village especially when wanting to travel in the Chesterfield direction.

Nice village, plenty of places to eat, centrally located for access to Bakewell, Chesterfield and the Peak District National Park. Chatsworth House less than 2 miles away. Plenty of decent pubs/restaurants to eat at reasonable prices. No need to get in the car to get around the village everything an easy walk.

The room, staff and hotel were all excellent however the cooked breakfast was disappointing. My friend had scrambled eggs the 2nd morning which tasted burnt. There was a great selection of continental breakfasts though Really good location for exploring the area and good parking on site. The staff were really friendly and lovely

Super clean, super comfy, quite luxurious, breakfast was unreal. We had their Derbyshire oatcakes with full Derbyshire breakfast, and it was served to our room on request, so we could eat on our terrace. Owners super friendly. 100% recommended
