Everything. Breakfast was lovely. Tasting menu was amazing. Staff were great, especially the girl on the reception/room service who we saw the most. Would visit again and highly recommend.

The location is excellent to explore all of Peak District. The staff were friendly with us and our kids. The breakfast is good value for money and was tasty too. We also enjoyed the dinner we ate one evening. For the price this was an excellent hotel.

A lovely village with lots of amenities and access to many walks through the glorious Chatsworth estate. We had a lovely family meal at the Wheatsheaf, lovely and very helpful staff, delicious food, and dog friendly.
The main road through the village is very busy and we found it extremely difficult getting out of the village especially when wanting to travel in the Chesterfield direction.

Nice village, plenty of places to eat, centrally located for access to Bakewell, Chesterfield and the Peak District National Park. Chatsworth House less than 2 miles away.
Plenty of decent pubs/restaurants to eat at reasonable prices.
No need to get in the car to get around the village everything an easy walk.

Great location
We would have liked to have had our evening meal there but the choices for meat free were poor tbh so all 4 of us went to the Italian down the road.

Host couldn’t do enough for us, couple of issues which were sorted very quickly and without fuss. Spotlessly clean, and the photos don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided and Penny was amazing and so helpful. Close to Chatsworth, can walk there through the beautiful grounds. Very near to our family and has a pub and a shop opposite! What’s not to like?
Without a shadow of doubt, one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. Every single member of staff were so friendly, helpful and keen for us to enjoy our one night stay. Room 10, the splendid suite was so comfortable with a superb view to wake up to. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious ( we had the beef wellington ) and the breakfast was superb.
Beautiful and cosy b&b but also very modern. We loved all the extra little touches of drinks and cakes provided - honestly one of the finest cakes I’ve ever eaten. The breakfast was also exceptional and served to our room as requested. Perfect for a night away with my partner as we like walking and there’s lots of trails nearby. We will definitely be coming back.
The location was very good as it is very near Chatsworth House.
The breakfast was cooked well. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and cushions. The choice of teas and coffee was good. There are some lovely touches, such as fresh milk and wellies and umbrellas, being available to borrow.
A great base with everything we needed. Fantastic bedroom with lots of natural light and space to get ready for the family wedding we were attending at nearby heathy Lea. Luxurious little place with great views. Would absolutely use again if we were back in the area
