United KingdomWe went to the Hunters Meet to celebrate our friend’s 70th birthday. We purchased tickets for the Motown evening and had a great time. The rooms we had were very comfortable and nicely decorated. We will definitely do this again!

ArgentinaEverything… beautiful building in a quiet tranquil location. Beautifully decorated, lots of places to sit and relax. Food was outstanding. Service was amazing and staff were incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made an extra effort to celebrate a special birthday. Thank you all! We will be back.

United KingdomGreat communication with the host. It was clean and tidy on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and milk in the fridge was much appreciated. The towels were a bit jaded and there was no dishcloth to wash dishes but they were minor negatives.

We loved everything and would stay again. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The food for the party was lovely, tasty and just right. This charming, quiet town has lovely canal walks and a large public park next to the town centre. The high street has good eateries and nice little shops. Don't miss the Coffee House Cafe, with it's great sandwiches and all-day cooked breakfast! If you want to explore further the helpful staff in the central tourist office will suggest various self guided historic walks. It is a perfect spot to overnight only a 15 minute drive from Stansted airport (and is NOT on the flight path, so no noise of passing planes), and easily reached by public bus #510 (or #509) which runs a regular service to and from the town even at night.Guest review byCarolynItaly - Review score10.0

Bishops Stortford is a lovely old town which is relatively compact so it is easy to walk around the town centre. There is a good range of shops and quaint tea rooms and excellent restaurants.
