The spa package was amazing, the room was gorgeous the balcony was a lovely surprise and the staff went above and beyond our expectations. Special mention to Sophie Ben and Henry and also Eva in the spa. Keep up the great work.

The ambience of the entrance was nice.
The receptionists on Sunday and on Monday was very welcoming and informative about the area.
The staff in the restaurant (breakfast), very attentive and ensured personal needs were met. And was ready on the table (soya milk).
The beds, quilt and sheets.
The darkness of the room at night.

Falsely advertising. There was no wifi, no tv in the room, water damage all over the ceilings, holes in the walls, you name it. We asked if we could leave due to 1000 reasons which they falsely advertised and they said yep fair enough and that we would receive a refund. They’ve ignored our last three attempts to contact them regarding our refund, which we never received. This shouldnt be allowed to be on booking.com

Chirk is a sweet town. And there is the castle to visit. Plus the aqueduct and viaduct. A beautiful walk along the canal and aqueduct.
I didn't eat out in the evenings but there are places to eat.
Plus a convenience store etc.

I’ve visited Chirk on many occasions for business and leisure. The village is quieter since the building of the bypass. One feature to see is the aqueduct. Nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is famous but Chirk Aquaduct is impressive too. It runs alongside the railway viaduct over a deep valley. At its north end the canal enters a tunnel.

Disappointing. Don't be taken in.
Disappointing. Don't be taken in. It's not really a castle, its a stately home and not a very interesting one at that. Only part of the 'castle' can be viewed, what can be seen is not very interesting and poorly presented and not set in context. There were no information screens, very little signage and what information there was consisted of 'this is a painting of a person you've never heard of. This is another'. At £15 per person (!) this was grossly over-priced and certainly not worth the money

Unfortunately we were returning home from one funeral to prepare for another in a couple of days so we did not have time to visit any where except the adjacent restaurant but it looked a pleasant little town with lots of local sites such as the castle and Pontcysyllte aqueduct

We took a dayboat hire for the family out of the Anglo Welsh marina at Trevor and travelled down the canal down to Chirk, passing over the famous aqueduct. Following day we went to the British Ironworks near Oswestry and saw the Knife Angel sculpture. A great day out.

The hotel is outside Chirk, a few minutes drive. The town is quite small but has a good free car park. We couldn't visit the castle as it was closed due to bad weather. The Llangollen canal is nearby and good for walking. The aqauaduct is interesting. It's easy to get to NT places, Llangollen, Oswestry and Snowdonia National Park.

Looked like whole hotel had been redecorated, public areas very neat and tidy. Both room itself and bathroom were very spacious and homely, loads of storage, spotlessly clean. Nice to have 2 chairs and a proper table. PG Tips teabags.
Location surprisingly quiet despite proximity to A5. Not a holiday hotel, but a great overnight stop.
We self-catered for breakfast but there is cafe in next-door garden centre if you don't need an early start, or don't want to use hotel's breakfast facility (must pre-order by 8pm previous night)
Breakfast was very good with a wide selection and good quality .The location of the hotel was perfect for us and easy access to many points of interest. The spa facilities were very good and the staff very helpful and friendly Bar has good selection of drinks and very good prices for beer’s and wine again staff friendly and very efficient
The breakfast selection was great and the dinner and lunch were lovely. We also ate at the Indian restaurant on site in the Spa part of the hotel - great food.
