Weaverthorpe – great hotels and places to stay

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Meadowside is situated in Weaverthorpe, 24 km from The Spa Scarborough and 25 km from Peasholm Park.

Beautiful property! We had the loveliest evening at Meadowside. Everything was to such a high standard, even down to the quality of the towels and bed linen. The host Mark was very helpful and left some Easter eggs for our children upon arrival, plus some Prosecco for us adults! These little touches were so thoughtful. The selection of games were fantastic as well as books for adults and children. The open fire was so cosy in the evening. There was even a bag of nuts to feed the squirrels which our children loved. The garden is incredible and my dog couldn’t have been happier in such a large space to run around. This is honestly the best place I’ve stayed with booking.com. We are rebooking very soon! Thank you Mark for a wonderful stay! I can’t praise this place enough!

Beautiful part of the country. Quaint little village.

Beautiful part of the country. Quaint little village. Did not get to visit the pub as there was a power cut when we arrived. Short drive to Scarborough if you fancy a stroll on the beach. Meadowside is an absolute gem of a place to stay. The host is very gracious and the extra mile he goes to for his guests is superb. You will not be disappointed when you book.

We selected the cheapest room as it was an over night stay.

We selected the cheapest room as it was an over night stay. The photos made it look bigger than it was . Would recommend paying the extra for one of their other rooms (which we have stayed in and are far better.) The evening menu was more expensive than the normal pub food but was beautifully cooked and in lovely surroundings either taken in the restaurant or the pub

Many local attractions close by if travelling by car. Both pubs do not open until 4pm at this time of year so had to go elsewhere to find somewhere for lunch. Found a lovely place at Potter Brompton called Sally Middlewood Farm Shop & Tea Room, very good and worth a visit.

Ideal location for our short trip, visited Flamingo Land before spending the night at the hotel and then visited York the next day. Lots of other places to visit within 20-30 mins. Breakfast was wonderful and hot tub a welcome relaxation after a day at the theme park.
