United KingdomBeautiful property! We had the loveliest evening at Meadowside. Everything was to such a high standard, even down to the quality of the towels and bed linen.
The host Mark was very helpful and left some Easter eggs for our children upon arrival, plus some Prosecco for us adults! These little touches were so thoughtful.
The selection of games were fantastic as well as books for adults and children. The open fire was so cosy in the evening. There was even a bag of nuts to feed the squirrels which our children loved.
The garden is incredible and my dog couldn’t have been happier in such a large space to run around.
This is honestly the best place I’ve stayed with booking.com. We are rebooking very soon!

United KingdomOn arrival we asked for an upgrade and we got it and paid £20 per night extra , but couldn't compare as we didn't see the first rooms allocated , the hotel was full, location was very good , Mathew one of the managers from the Wirral was excellent and very accommodating. Check out was 10am and £15 per hour after that .

Beautiful part of the country. Quaint little village. Did not get to visit the pub as there was a power cut when we arrived. Short drive to Scarborough if you fancy a stroll on the beach. Meadowside is an absolute gem of a place to stay. The host is very gracious and the extra mile he goes to for his guests is superb. We selected the cheapest room as it was an over night stay.
We selected the cheapest room as it was an over night stay. The photos made it look bigger than it was . Would recommend paying the extra for one of their other rooms (which we have stayed in and are far better.) Many local attractions close by if travelling by car. Both pubs do not open until 4pm at this time of year so had to go elsewhere to find somewhere for lunch. Did not stay around Weaverthorpe as we used it as a base to visit coast ,York and North Yorkshire Moors Railway . Great place to stay ,good to keep away from the maddening crowds . food and accomodation is the best but don't expect to lose weight .Guest review byDAVIDUnited Kingdom
