Lynster House in Monaghan provides accommodations with barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. This 5-star guest house offers a garden.

Elizabeth was a great host; she provided a home-cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients from Monaghan, which was fantastic. The rooms were cute and cozy. The bathroom was large, and the shower was very friendly, with excellent water pressure. This was our first overnight stay in Ireland in a commercial, non-hotel environment. We didn't know what to expect from the B&B experience, and overall, it was great. Our host was very knowledgeable of things to do and places to stay in the other cities of Ireland we were traveling to.

Glendale House in Monaghan provides adults-only accommodations with a garden, a terrace, and a shared lounge.

John was the perfect host. Excellent breakfasts. Great insights into where to go and what to do. He engaged in long conversations on everything from local entertainment to thoughtful comparisons of history and governments. My room was comfortable; it had a great view. A shared common room had even better views, and it was great for planning the next several days. I stayed for over a week and will return.

Go to the SVP charity shop!

Go to the SVP charity shop! We passed through on the way to Donegal and found some of the best bargains of our lives. Neighbourhood is a lovely dinner spot, if on the expensive side. Lovely bakery/café nearby also but the name escapes me. The local shopping centre is a nice spot

Monaghan is a very busy town with some lovely dress shops and men shops. Nice coffee bars and place to eat - food is lovely and plentiful!. We noticed there was no litter anywhere. A very enjoyable visit and would recommend The Meadows - very clean, nice towels every day, etc. We ate in the Westenra Hotel. Very easy to get around Monaghan.

    Guesthouse was fantastic.

Guesthouse was fantastic. The lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. We were given a room upgrade and a delicious breakfast. We were meeting up with friends for dinner in Monaghan. Our meal in the Batch Loaf restaurant was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

A really lovely host, great communication and a beautiful property- the photos really don’t do it justice. We had a great weekend here with tons of room, and appreciated little extra touches as a welcome pack and toiletries already in place. Young adults really enjoyed the pool room! You do need a car as 45 min walk into town and Castleblayney was such a beautiful and welcoming town. Can’t recommend highly enough - many thanks Gary and family

On arrival the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room and ensuite was very clean. The only thing that was disappointing was the hair dryer. The hotel is located in the centre of Monaghan and Monaghan itself is a lovely friendly clean town with unique shops.

The properly location was good for us… approximately 10 to 15 minutes to Monaghan town. We were able to cater for ourselves with a kettle and microwave and the was a range of utensils available. The facility was homely and clean.
