Very Solid Japanese Hotel. Great value compared to what I typically see in US. Easy to find. Close to cool area and subway. Rooms are small compared to US. I needed 2 and got them both on 11. Very clean. Great staff. Interesting breakfast. Options for anyone. Had to send Laundry out in the morning. Not cheap but well done. I would stay here again.

Love the location, the hotel is very convenience ( Sakae Area). It's a city hotel so the parking lot is expensive in downtown. The hotel provided the parking space with parking fee for 1500 JYP. per day which is cheaper than the others parking lot. The front service speak English fluently . The only one thing I don't like is on the day we arrived there might be a big group of Chinese tourist stay at the upper floor and the stomp the feet when they walk that make loud noise from the ceiling it was like someone running around above my head. (The hotel floor might be too thin. ) but this problem can be solved after I can front office and ask him to call the upper floor guest to stop stomp there feet. May be the hotel should have a sign in the room the inform the guest to gently walk due to the floor is not absorb the noise.

The location is great, very close to Nagoya station. The room is clean, and both the chair and desk are very comfortable - extra points for providing an office chair as the standard option. However, there could be some improvements with communication and amenities.

This home was absolutely beautiful and so well-thought out. From the sensor lights coming on as you walk around the house to the Nintendos for the kids, it was wonderfully designed and even better than the pictures!

The host was amazing and super helpful finding a rental car for us when most places did not have any availability. She was great at suggesting restaurants and helping us deliver our luggage to our next location. She did that all free of charge too!

The Science Center is one of the best we've visited.
The Science Center is one of the best we've visited. We were very impressed. Nagoya airport is also really nice with the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner available to visit up close.
I'm not really a fan of the city overall. The downtown core seems to be geared towards salary men.
We've visit a few times mostly to go to Legoland, and see the 787 airplane exhibit at the airport. Nagoya is a city that's very easy to skip on your trip to Japan.

Although not one of Japan’s best known cities, Nagoya is a gem. Sakae, Higashiyama Park and zoo, Nagoya Castle Park (the plum blossoms are in season now!), and then all the pubs and jazz bars around…what’s there NOT to enjoy?

Very metropolitan but still you can find interesting sites: Aquarium is outstanding, orcas and dauphins training and feeding are must-see. The Castle and Hommaru Palace are worth seeing though everything was rebuilt after WWII destruction. One should appreciate masterpieces of contemporary cratsmen to resume the glory of the past.

I do not recommend Nagoya for women traveling alone.
I do not recommend Nagoya for women traveling alone. Of all the provinces I visited, this was the only one where I felt afraid of men. On every corner, there were groups of men doing nothing but staring at everyone who passed by, with a somewhat predatory attitude. I saw a young woman walking alone, and she was soon approached by one of the men. I noticed that she ignored him until the light turned green so she could cross the street. I ended up walking around the city with my husband the entire time. I was afraid to be away from him.

Nagoya was relatively quieter that Tokyo and Osaka. The Osu Shopping District was more simple and quieter too.. Weather experience was amazing because it was cold and we were prepared for the cold weather.

I stopped on my way from Tokyo to Osaka to visit the various Toyota museums and the castle.
All are well worth the time.
If your budget streches to it, try the local smoked eel that the city is known for, hitsumabushi. It is a little pricey at around 4000yen, but it is delicious and is served most often in Nagoya with spring onion, wasabi and a broth to go over it. It. Is. Delicious!

We love everything about the hotel!
Fantastic location, right next to a 7-11 and steps away from subway station, 3 stops to Nagoya station, and close to bus stops for places we would like to visit.
The design of the room is great. Super comfortable bed and pillows. We stayed in 3 different locations during this trip, and this one is the best for us in terms of comfort level. The bath was great too with indoors and outdoors area. Bonus with Dyson hair dryer 😍
Breakfast has a huge variety and very delicious.
The ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya, an IHG Hotel, is ideally situated in the Kanayama area, just steps away from Kanayama Station, which provides easy access to major destinations in Nagoya. It's also conveniently close to popular attractions like Nagoya Castle and the Atsuta Shrine, making it a great base for both leisure and business travelers. The surrounding area offers plenty of dining and shopping options, as well as easy connections to Nagoya's central business district and nearby cities.
Although the hotel has a plain, business like feel, it was a great place to stay in Nagoya. The room was the biggest I had in Japan with plenty of room to lay down luggage. The onsen was really good, and often really busy. I walked almost everywhere and the hotel was one stop from Nagoya station. For convenience I caught a taxi there on the say of departure and it was around 700 yen.
Great hotel only a 10 minute walk from Nagoya station.
Very clean and comfortable. Towels are changed out daily and then rooms cleaned daily. I really appreciate that, because it made the stay so much more enjoyable to come back to a tidy and clean room after a long day of exploring.
10/10 hotel for 3 nights stay in Nagoya. Few minutes walking to Mirai tower and Sakae station. Room was decent size, plenty of restaurants, convenient stores and departments stores nearby. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for money as well!
