So much to like about this place. Suited our needs perfectly. Lovely location, nice and quiet, spacious and beautifully laid out and decorated. Well-stocked with the required kitchen ware, and such a delightful garden view from nearly every window. Off street parking was handy too.
Dislike: only one. One of the beds (adjacent bathroom) well too firm for me (the other bedroom bed was fine for my friend, no issue there but it was noticeably different). Apart from that, it would have been 10/10 perfect.

The place is newly renovated, spacious, warm, and clean. The owners left us very detailed instructions about the place and the neighborhood, which was nice and helpful. It exceeded our expectations, and we totally recommend staying there!

Great spot and lovely location. Very easy to go for a run or go to the beach. Lovely little wood round the back.

Tranquil town away from the touristy hubbub of Te Anau but within range to catch the tour to Milford Sound. The Church restaurant served excellent meals at a reasonable price. Probably best suited to tours to Doubtful Sounds, but we did not mind the 20 minute drive to Te Anau.

Manapouri is a breathtakingly beautiful area with a quiet restful atmosphere. There is a lovely restaurant nearby and other food outlets. Lots to do in the area too. There are the day and overnight trips to Doubtful Sound, a stunningly beautiful area that will blow your mind. You do need to book ahead for these trips. There is also glow worm caves, alpaca farms, Kaykaking, tramping and more. Do your research and enjoy an amazing time in Manapouri.

Manapouri is a very small, lakefront town that has a beautiful view of Lake Manapouri and the mountains beyond. It also has a fantastic cafe/bar/restaurant called The Church, which I thoroughly recommend. However, don't stay at the Manapouri Lakeview Motor Inn if you can avoid it.

You need to help the receptionist with English. When it was decided that he was under last name it was ok.
She kept looking up first name and no booking was found then he wrote down name Graeme Childs. it was ok then.

Manapouri is a quiet place with few amenities, does have a church pub restaurant which was great, a must visit . And an antique traders shop and cafe and petrol.
Station . The area is very close to the Doubtful
Sound cruise terminal, which has cruises daily into Doubtful
Sound which takes you across lake Manapouri .
The lake is tranquil
And unspoilt with walking and cycling tracks along its shores.

This is a great place for a few days stay in Fiordland. The setting is quiet. It is a short walk to the boat for the Doubtful Sound cruise and is only a short 20km drive to Te Anau.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and provided everything that is needed for a lengthy stay.
The washing machine got a good workout during our stay.
Very convenient for doubtful sound cruise (early start).
The cottage was the best equipped so far after 2 weeks on the South Island.
The luggage rack held two open suitcases. Many international hotels could learn from that.
very relaxing stay, many trees, plenty of space for tents or campervans, cozy cabins, very friendly staff
just 25 minutes to walk to the vessel terminal for Doubtful Sound and 20 minutes to drive to Te Anau
