Needs an update, furniture old and shabby. Shower flooded, toilet cistern not filling, had to fill it ourselves. Would never stay there again. Had to wait in the foyer for nearly an hour before staff came back from lunch. Was all left open and unattended,

A very quirky looking campground, but with everything we needed. Ana was very friendly and helpful at check-in.
The buildings looked a bit old and slightly run down, but don't let that put you off. We stayed in a cabin which had mismatched furniture, but original paintings on the walls. French doors opened out onto our own small deck. It was really great!
We went on our Doubtful Sound trip from here, but wish we could have stayed longer than two nights. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever travelling in the area in the future.

A cute little retro cottage, right next to Lake Manapouri. A comfortable bed -- the best 8 and a half hour sleep I've had in ages.

Tranquil town away from the touristy hubbub of Te Anau but within range to catch the tour to Milford Sound. The Church restaurant served excellent meals at a reasonable price. Probably best suited to tours to Doubtful Sounds, but we did not mind the 20 minute drive to Te Anau.

Manapouri is a breathtakingly beautiful area with a quiet restful atmosphere. There is a lovely restaurant nearby and other food outlets. Lots to do in the area too. There are the day and overnight trips to Doubtful Sound, a stunningly beautiful area that will blow your mind. You do need to book ahead for these trips. There is also glow worm caves, alpaca farms, Kaykaking, tramping and more. Do your research and enjoy an amazing time in Manapouri.

Manapouri is a very small, lakefront town that has a beautiful view of Lake Manapouri and the mountains beyond. It also has a fantastic cafe/bar/restaurant called The Church, which I thoroughly recommend. However, don't stay at the Manapouri Lakeview Motor Inn if you can avoid it.

She kept looking up first name and no booking was found then he wrote down name Graeme Childs. it was ok then.

Manapouri is a quiet place with few amenities, does have a church pub restaurant which was great, a must visit . And an antique traders shop and cafe and petrol.
Station . The area is very close to the Doubtful
Sound cruise terminal, which has cruises daily into Doubtful
Sound which takes you across lake Manapouri .
The lake is tranquil
And unspoilt with walking and cycling tracks along its shores.

Convenient location for Doubtful Sound or Manapouri activities. The lake is just in front of the park , across the road. The park actually has very little light pollution, so at night, when everyone’s asleep, if it’s clear, you can, as I did, see the Milky Way and all the southern constellations. No need to go to Tekapo for this!
This was my second stay at Manapouri Beach Haven. Clean, tidy and comfortable with all the things you need. Handy to the dock for the trips to Doubtful Sound. Great friendly and timely communication from the owner too. I highly recommend this property to travelers.
Excellent accommodation and very friendly helpful host. Beautiful views and well placed for hiking, cycling, visiting Doubtful Sound and Te Anau. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
