Room was really comfortable, had not slept so well in a long time. All the extra touches were great as was the personalised service. The breakfast was awesome too and they even washed my car.

Robertson is an absolute gem in the Western Cape!
Robertson is an absolute gem in the Western Cape! Nestled in the breathtaking Breede River Valley and surrounded by the stunning Langeberg Mountains, it’s a town that truly lives up to its title as the "Valley of Wine and Roses."
Whether you're a wine enthusiast or simply love scenic beauty, Robertson has something for everyone. The wine estates are spectacular, offering unforgettable tasting experiences along one of the world’s longest wine routes. Beyond the vineyards, the town charms with its rich history and local art galleries that give you a taste of its vibrant culture.
For adventure seekers, there are endless outdoor activities like hiking, river cruises, and nature walks. And if you’re lucky enough to visit during one of their festivals, you’ll experience the warm, celebratory spirit of the town and its people.
Robertson is more than just a stop on Route 62, it’s a destination you’ll want to linger in. Highly recommend!

Robertson is the perfect weekend getaway from Cape Town, just about an hour and 45 minutes away. This short travel time means you can maximize your stay without spending too much time on the road. However, be warned—there are so many lovely places to visit that you might not be able to enjoy everything in just one weekend.

Our Favorite winery was Springfield Estate, beautiful grounds and views of the pond while enjoying wonderful wines. Our GPS worked well and we found our way around the Robertson wine region. Robertson region was a quick two day visit for us, the next time we would give the area more time to explore the region and the many wineries available to visit. We saw, but did not have time for, hiking, biking, horse back riding, Breed River kayaking, and the hot springs. We also visited small sleepy McGregor, 15 minute drive from Robertson, to walk the Main Street as the shops had a store front Sunday open market and goods for sale. Montague was in our route to Robertson, we only visited the main town with a 30 minute drive through, so we did not have time to explore the hot springs or the hiking trails, but as it was surrounded by the mountains, we could see hiking would be enjoyable if you have the time. The tourist office has information on the trails and the time required.

My stay at The Robertson Small Hotel and Spa by The Living Journey Collection was truly wonderful. The boutique hotel exudes charm and elegance, with beautifully designed rooms that offer both comfort and luxury. The tranquil garden and pool area provided the perfect escape, leaving us feeling completely relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. A perfect retreat for anyone seeking peace and pampering. Highly recommended!
A perfect location for a weekend away in the Robertson to explore the area and surrounding wine farms. The house itself was fully equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and braai'ing (BBQ) while watching the sunset. We will definitely book again.
