Meet by friendly host. Fantastic, cosy, comfortable place to stay, everything you needed ( apart from chop stick, please get some for next time as ordered Chinese food), so central to everything, across the road from an amazing beach, two min to woodlands and walks, one minute to local shop and pub/hotel. Welcome pack so great, even treats for child ( Easter egg and comic and yummy cakes for grown ups) went over and above, felt like home. 100% be back. And 100% recommend a lovely place to stay.....oh don't take books to read you'll find 100's if not 1000's to read there!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Coopers Cottage, the Cottage itself was exceptional and had everything needed and extras provided by the lovely hosts, who were on hand to answer any questions we had and did so quickly. Our dog Mabel had a great time and loved the treats kindly left by the hosts. Thank you so much again. we will definitely be back to this beautiful cottage.

We loved our stay in this immaculately renovated, stone built croft house. The property is comfortable and spacious - perfect for a couples retreat and a great location for exploring the north Aberdeenshire coast. The generous welcome basket was a lovely addition.

We loved everything about the property, Shona had really gone the extra mile with little touches like stacking the log fire ready and putting together detailed local recommendations (definitely check out the guest book for recommendations from other travellers too)! Most of all the beds are comfy and it’s such a peaceful place for a relaxing holiday (as long as you like hearing the cows!)

Offering a garden and garden view, Puffin Cottage is situated in Boddam, 26 km from Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club and 47 km from Hilton Community Centre.

Puffin cottage is perfectly kitted out for all your needs. The house was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped, the rainfall shower was so refreshing and the sunshine and fresh air did us the world of good. There's a wee gastro pub/motel called Seaview, around the corner selling amazing food (quite fancy, btw) with a wee beer garden out the back (entry via the carpark) and the staff provide amazing customer service. About a 15 minute walk from the cottage is Braes Hotel where you can have a drink in the bar and have delicious meals in the dining room (first time my kids had their napkin placed on their lap), again - delicious locally sourced food which tastes amazing. We've had a ball at puffin cottage.

    Everything! Stunning cottage. Very cosy and comfortable. Welcome pack on arrival. Host has thought of everything you would need for your stay! Would definately recommend. A car is necessary for the location. But 2mins from Cruden Bay with stunning beach and lovely restaraunts.

    Owners were brilliant from start to finish, made us feel at very much at home. The pool was amazing. Hot tub wasn't working but waived the fee for the sauna instead which was a great gesture. Only disappointing thing was that we were only there for 1 night! Will certainly be back!!

    It’s location, tucked away in amongst other cottages by the harbour. The cottage was so welcoming and cosy. It was so clean and the kitchen was so well kitted out. We liked the extra touches e.g. milk in the fridge, wine, coffee and tea bags. It was clear that the hosts had gone to great lengths to create a place where guests could instantly feel at home and relax in. The garden was also amazing and such a sun trap, even in October!

    The cottage was perfect, very cosy and homely with everything we needed for our stay. Ideal set up for an 11month old crawling baby! The hot tub at night whilst watching the shooting stars was a favourite with us. Shona is the perfect host, very friendly and nothing was a bother to her.

    We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in the cottage. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. Shona is a amazing host,very responsive.The cottage is realy cozy, well looked after and the hot tub is a perfect future to the property. Highly recommend to everyone .
