This hotel was in the middle of a winery. The staff were so welcoming upon our arrival and gave us many insights of where to visit in the surrounding area. We hired mountain bikes which I would recommend as a great way to see the surrounding countryside which was absolutely stunning. The hotel breakfast choice is one of the best we have had anywhere. The room and facilities are first class and I would highly recommend a short break if ever visiting Austrian wineries.
Boasting mountain views, Weingut Reiterer provides accommodation with a garden, a bar and a shared lounge, around 45 km from Maribor Train Station.

The setting is absolutely fabulous. Each of the 3 rooms has its own area to sit among the vines, with stunning views. You can help yourself to a selection of wines (unfortunately no price list, and not cheap!) . The room was spacious and modern, with separate sitting area. En-suite new and stylish (shower and washbasin are open to the bedroom!!). Very good breakfast served in a room with fantastic views of the vineyards. Egg dishes prepared fresh to order.
This castle dating from the 12th century is located on the outskirts of Leibnitz, 40 km south of Graz. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant with a terrace.

The castle and hotel are amazing! You can look around and explore by yourself or relax at the pool area. They have their own wines and a very old wine cellar. The wines are exceptional, would recommend to try out their winetasting. We even got vouchers for it. The area is also great and the castle serves as the perfect base to explore all the cool things in the area.
Surrounded by vineyards, the state-of-the-art LOISIUM Wine & Spa Hotel Südsteiermark features a spacious wellness centre, a wine bar with a cigar corner, and a panoramic deck.

The staff at the wine shop and reception were polite and helpful. The restaurant dinner was nothing special, but the breakfast was excellent.
Pool was very nice and warm.

My stay was a delightful experience in many aspects. Adorned with numerous awards, the hotel boasts a charming blend of old wooden style and modern elements. Inside, a well-covered glass area adds to the unique atmosphere. Locally sourced products and an on-site vineyard showcase their commitment to quality.
The rooms, adorned with a blend of old and new, featured a fascinating mix of a pulp fiction poster, private bathtub on the balcony and a DVD player (as the TV lacked finding any channels). A highlight was the private sauna in the room, offering a touch of luxury. The staff's service was truly phenomenal, adding to the overall positive impression.
Despite the maintenance concerns, the culinary experience was outstanding and undoubtedly the highlight of my stay.
Situated 23 km from Maribor Train Station, Winzarei, Weingut Tement offers an infinity pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.

Beautiful location overlooking the vineyards - a great place to use as a base to explore (whether by car, foot or bike) the Südsteiermark from. We did a wine tasting on arrival which was a lovely introduction to the great wines the region has to offer. The rooms were super cosy and clean and there was a lovely home made breakfast with lots of local delicacies on offer every morning. We loved everything about this place and would definitely return!
The breakfast was fabulous with delicious items the owner creates herself. Every aspect of the place was of exceptional quality from food, service to carpentry in the rooms. Beautiful views of vineyards with walking paths or visit by car. Relaxing and quiet. Last but not least options of their own wines readily available. She will also create you a picnic buffet if you wish as we had on one evening with friends sipping wine on the lovely patio.
Everything...starting from the first step in!! The room with a very nice design, comfy bad, complimentary beverages in the minibar and chocolate fondue ..no way!? the dinner was a surprise...but we were completely thrilled with the breakfast ...was unbelievable, pampered our senses. This place was a entire surprise for a stoppover!
Definettly come back!!
Kellerstöckl is a lovely place in a green setting, a huge house full of character.
Great location in the vineyards surrounded by a beautiful scenery of green forests and mountains. Pauritsch family was very friendly and kind, also very responsive and flexible. The host speaks excellent English. Don’t miss to try the house's wonderful wine, Frizzante.
The apartment was clean and comfy. To be recommended for a very nice escape into nature. Thank you for everything!
Very comfortable guest house/hotel in the centre of the village with a lovely attached restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on visiting the nearby vineyards and producers. Room was large and comfortable. You can hire e-bikes from the tourist office, which is right next door.
