The staff were pleasant, and while the rooms and building have a charming vintage feel, some renovations are needed. The carpets could use updating, and adding more electrical outlets for chargers would be much appreciated (they didn't need those in the 70s I guess)

It has a good ambiance, Westfield is a 3-minute walk if you need shopping, a great vibe, a good place, and a clean, spacious studio room. If I travel to Canberra again, I will stay in Abode again.

Funky little hotel in inner south Canberra. Very nice clean lines in the hotel design, small but comfortable rooms. Designed more for the short stay visitor wanting value for money in a clean and comfortable hotel, rather than the luxury-seeking guest.
Lovely spacious rooms and comfortable king size bed. Well designed bathroom space. Loved the Leyla Bar on the 7th floor with stunning views of Canberra 😊 including a free drink on arrival!

Ive long wanted to stay at this hotel, which is renowned for its funky design and location in Canberra's government bureaucratic centre. The modern facilities - including the library, self service cafe and bar and lovely wide hallways were generous and gave the place a comfortable, cool vibe. The design itself is unusual and worth checking out.
