CanadaThe place is a little outdated. The staff are all friendly. Room is a little dark but probably that helps you sleep. The buffet is good. It has a microwave and refrigerator on the room. Location is near gasoline stations, convenience stores and the highway.

But most or all Angie, our host. She made our stay feel like we were visiting a friend, although we just met her! My wife had Angie's homemade pancakes 2 mornings in a row, that's how delicious they were. It’s very conveniently located at the centre of the city, but still in a quiet and easily accessible area. Our room was absolutely lovely, very clean and comfortable, and with hardwood floors, which was gorgeous. Our favourite part of the stay was definitely the breakfast; we were expecting plain continental food, but it ended up being quite a delicious hot breakfast that we all greatly enjoyed. Chateau Fred was previously (until about June 2022) a Hampton Inn, and the current operation seems to resemble Hampton Inn operations, including breakfast.
