The building was gorgeous, the common spaces were beautiful and welcoming. Our room was small but had everything we could ever need, the kitchenette was unexpected but so useful! Even with no front desk or staff on site, we had no issues getting in or finding anything.

It is my perfect idea of a B&B. The house has been beautifully restored creating a lovely atmosphere. The individually prepared breakfast was excellent.

It was clean. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast had a pretty good selection of tasty food. Pool was shallow enough for my kids to touch at the deep end.

Very charming and spacious room with lovely nautical-themed design. The lounge is very guest-friendly and includes literature, board games and puzzles. The breakfast was delightful, especially the home-made waffles cooked to order! The views from the property are stunning.

There was no breakfast included in this location but I really loved our room. There was a kitchenette that allowed us to have our own breakfast in our suite. It was a lovely and quiet location, but really close to the downtown core and very walkable. They had a beautiful conservatory in the back. The bed was really comfortable and I loved all the gorgeous features of this heritage building.

Exceptional and amiable owner and staff (Brian). Location was excellent. Excellent view of the super full moon and water and Irving park. Nearby to needed amenities. Quiet location and therefore relaxing. In the room, the windows are across from each other facilitating a lovely ocean cross breeze ( no air conditioning, but not needed second week of August). I highly recommend Hillside in this budget range. Will book again next Saint John visit. Thank you Hillside!

They upgraded our room to an amazing suite.. Wow, what a beautiful room. And it was really comfortable. The design of the hotel is beautiful. Antique Furniture . Beautiful design details. Kind hotel staff. No doubt this is one of the best hotels on our current trip to Canada.
