Located directly on the shore of Lake Maggiore, a private bathing beach, the jetty with its own marina and garden, guest rooms and suites.

A hotel stay I won't soon forget. Phenomenal service from start to finish. Breakfast was outstanding, the room and bed comfortable, even with a "bespoke pillow menu" (!) Hotel staff went above and beyond to connect us with a local bike shop to facilitate a specific rental. (Wonderful cycling scenery, to boot) It's a pricey stay obviously, but feel we got what we paid for.

The view from the room is amazing. The coffee for breakfast was also good barista quality.

Built in Bauhaus style in 1927 and completely renovated in 2008, the Hotel Monte Verità enjoys an elevated position above Ascona and Lake Maggiore, amid a large garden with exotic plants.

Absolutely breathtaking view, beautiful site, peaceful, private parking on site, very friendly staff (reception and restaurant), lovely terrasse, excellent restaurant (dinner and breakfast), a very special place definitely worth a visit.

    The design of the place was very chic. located very centrally, it was easy to walk around. the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was also delicious cured meats, cheeses, pastries, and the honey was particularly exceptional.

    Fantastic location on the lake with stunning views. This hotel has some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered, they were just lovely. The suits are very well appointed but then this is not a cheap place to stay so they should be. The food in their lake front restaurant was excellent as was the service. Breakfast was superb too. There is an excellent attention to detail for guests throughout the hotel which is a credit to the hard work team behind it. If your thinking of staying in the area then is should be top of your list!

    Our stay was great! From the warm welcoming, the location of the fantastic hotel with the unique art-touch. A beautiful, big room with a comforable bed, stunning bath-room design + very good breakfast. On the roof it' s a pool, where you can hang up + enjoy yourself with a book or just a drink and dinner with a wunderful view over Ascona & the lake and the surrounding.
