Wow! We were blow away by this mountain village. We needed a place to stay for one evening to cut the drive from Switzerland to Munich. Oberstdorf is like something from a movie set... in fact some of the movie scenes from Eddie the Eagle were filmed here. The hotel is in the heart of the pedestrian zone yet provides on-site parking which is a huge bonus. We were surprised to learn the hotel restaurant was Michelin star rated. We had dinner and breakfast--both were amazing. The rooms have been recently renovated and are super nice. Staff was above & beyond. No need to look any further for a place to stay... this is it!

    Very clean accommodation, welcoming staff, homely flat and stunning location. I can only recommend! We stayed for 4 nights and wish we had extended our stay. There's so much to do in the surrounding areas, you can hike for weeks.

    We could do some gorgeous walks directly from the flat and other hikes we wanted to do were all 30 - 45 mins drive away. Oberstdorf is 25 mins drive away. The flat was really well equipped, especially with basics for cooking like olive oil, filter coffee, herbs and spices... thank you! We had a lot of bad weather so there was also Netflix and a great selection of DVDS and Blu-Ray discs and a lovely big flat-screen TV - bonus points!
