We liked the hotel. It was perfect for a short stay at a reasonable price. The rooms were clean, and the receptionists were really friendly and helpful. As far as I can see, some of the evaluators gave a low score for the location of the hotel. Yes, it's in the outskirts, but it has a parking lot and excellent public transport connection to the city centre. Walk 10-15 mins to the stop of Tram No.7, which ran every 20 mins during the day and every half an hour in the evening + it's clean, fast and you can buy a ticket on board, and then it's a 28-min ride to Heumarkt, from where you can just stroll around the old town. So, the location was just fine.

Hotel Marsil is a design hotel situated in the heart of Cologne Old Town, just 1 km from the River Rhine and near the art and shopping areas and the Belgian Quarter with its fine restaurants.
