Set in a modernist colonial mansion, Hotel Vieja Cuba offers accommodation in one Quito’s finest commercial areas.

The breakfasts were excellent - fresh fruit and juice, yogurt, great coffee, and many other items. The staff were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful, and spoke good English. The hotel was on a quiet street, and had attractive gardens and outdoor seating. The building was charming and had beautiful wooden structural details. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Set in a charming house with a garden, Casa Foch offers rooms with free Wi-Fi only 100 meters from lively Foch Square. A buffet breakfast is served daily. Guests can enjoy the on-site art gallery.

Casa Foch, such a quaint home style accomodation. Included daily breakfast our host Enrico was amazing, offering tips for food and organising transfers when required. We felt safe and secure. Only a short walking distance to Plaza Foch which has lots of nightlife and food options. There is some noise of an evening however it doesn’t go all night. Hot water is provided all day and on demand of a night time as it can be noisy. The traditional breakfast includes eggs, toast and fruit with coffee and juice. The compound is secure and staff available at all hours.

Styled with baroque-inspired gilded mouldings and elegant furniture, the hotel is set in Quito’s historical district, only 20 metres from San Francisco Square.

A quirky and unusual hotel with lots of interesting features. Lashings of hot water and good pressure in the shower (not always found in South America) Sonja and Darwin were very helpful and made me feel very welcome.

Hotel Antinea is “vaux le voyage” (worth the trip). This gorgeous hotel is on a stunning little street lined with Sycamore trees. It is a complex of traditional buildings very well designed and integrated. The rooms and garden terraces and courtyards are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast is unique in all Ecuador as it includes excellent croissant beurre (fait maison). The dining spaces are so attractive and filled with interesting art. The service is very, very attentive.

The people at Casa de Tulia are very kind and friendly. There was a big family gathering the night we arrived and we were right away invited to the table and given delicious tea. Two friendly dogs greeted us. Juan-Diego and his girlfriend Esther right away invited us to a little visit in the city and it was lovely and helpful having that kind of connection upon our arrival in Ecuador. The place is beautifully designed when it comes to furniture and decoration. There's lots of art and other beautiful things to look at.

Casa El Eden is simply a stunning Boutique hotel which exceeded my already high expectations. I actually don’t know where to start: The tastefully renovated old mansion, the beautiful room with antique furniture, the great breakfast prepared at your order by Maria or the absolutely awesome owners Blanca and Mario. They simply make feel you at home and take care for everything. Many thanks for the 10.6 km early morning run with Mario - simply an awesome way to learn Quito to know (even though a bit breathless due to altitude)

This is a very nice boutique hotel with lots of charm. Lobby and rooms are beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay there. Staff was friendly and helpful. Anyone who appreciates design should visit this hotel. It's a nice change to all the standard chain hotels. I had lots of light in my room, even the bathroom has daylight. It's very pleasant. Good breakfast spread with fresh fruits. The location is also good near the Mariscal area and not too far away from the historic centre.
