El Convent is a small family-run hotel in the town of La Fresneda in the heart of Aragón's Mediterranean Matarraña region.

A peaceful oasis with beautiful gardens to sit and relax in. The bar/cafeteria is open all day so you can always get a drink or snack, and there's a pool. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

Hotel Portal Del Matarraña is a charming boutique hotel, set in a restored Aragonese mansion in Valjunquera. It offers modern air-conditioned rooms and suites, free Wi-Fi and free parking nearby.

Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The dinners were also great. It's not a fancy restaurant, but the food was very good and it was nice to be able to eat at the hotel. The owner was super-nice and helpful. He gave us excellent tips on places to visit and eat lunch each day of our stay. While driving around the region, we saw some of the other hotels that we had been considering and were happy we chose the Portal Del Matarrana. There's not much to do in the town, but it was a good base location. Free parking was available next to the hotel.

    Very beautiful and stylish property with very comfortable beds, lots floors with different areas to explore, the village is pretty, just there were no restaurants open, but they let me eat my snacks outside on their terrace.

    Perfect location in the main square of Calaceite. Jorge is a great host with lots of local knowledge. The room was clean and comfrotable. The hotel breakfast was excellent and it has a lovely bar on Friday nights.
