Great place to stay, close to amenities. I had my room overlooking the river it was lovely! Comfortable bed and just ecstatic that my room have a bathtub, it was so self indulging/ yes luxury indeed hence after a few days walking during Camino with swollen aching knee, I can’t wait to jump into the tub. Breakfast buffet was good!

The Front Desk employee, David, was wonderful, very kind, and helpful. Housekeeping staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect, very quiet and clean. The rain shower and very comfortable bed were greatly appreciated. The room and entire hotel were quiet and peaceful. The sauna was fantastic, especially after many days as a Pilgrim walking the Camino de Santiago from St Jean Pied de Port. The buffet breakfast was delicious with many excellent choices.

Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are offered at the Hotel Eguren Ugarte. This design hotel is surrounded by 130 hectares of vineyards and fields in Alaves, in La Rioja.

The hotel suffered from poor maintenance. The design was once cool and sophisticated, but it hasn’t stood the test of time. The wardrobe door fell off when I opened it. Some of the lights in the room didn’t work. There were damp stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom, and the cleanliness was inadequate. The Wi-Fi connection was nonexistent. The breakfast was also below average. The staff members were nice and friendly and the views from the window were beautiful, but it wasn’t enough.

Everything was fantastic. The warm welcoming, the apartment, the jacuzzi, the location, and the lovely breakfast. The place is unique. Mimi is an absolutely amazing host. He made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property for any type of travellers. We will definitely be coming back.
