We stayed overnight after getting the ferry to Cherbourg. Next day we travelled to Ill de Re. It was a good stop over point and comfortable for one evening :)

This charming hotel sits at the border of Brittany and Normandy, just a 5-minute drive from the Mont-Saint-Michel. Set in a garden, it has an outdoor terrace and spacious rooms.

The location is great, we stayed here ahead of visiting Mont St Michel, there was secure parking, the hotel was a bit dimly lit, the bathroom had a tiny bath with a shower head but no holder and the bathroom plug didn’t work so it was hard to bath. The breakfast wasn’t up to much, expensive for the what you get, I really wouldn’t bother. I asked for cereal without nuts as I have an allergy but the hostess didn’t assist. It was okay but I wouldn’t return.

    The hotel has a charming exterior and public rooms, and the restaurant is excellent, with beautifully prepared dishes. The gardens are very lovely. And there is a parking lot! I would be happy to return some day.

    Position of hotel was excellent. Charming looking hotel. Very olde world. Great free parking. Very secure. Lovely garden with tables. Bar area and restaurant decor was lovely and very charming. Bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee provided. Liked having a ground floor room. Rooms outside of main building.

    Lovely little spot. Tranquil. The room was very stylish and comfortable. And the owners were incredibly polite, helpful and accommodating. we stayed on a Monday when most of the restaurants in town were closed, but had a delicious meal at D&Ts. I would definitely recommend staying here.
