    What a stunning house - gardens over looking the Dordogne River - an idyllic setting. The interior of the house is wonderful - like living in a château. Beds very comfy and all toiletries supplied in the exquisite bathroom. Our host Catherine could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. Would definitely go back to this hidden gem.

    The house is stunning! Never stayed anywhere like it. A cascade of colour, antiques and wonderful decor. Our room was beautifuly, everything catered for. Small fridge to keep our drinks cool. The breakfast was typically french, no problem with that. Lovely busy garden with a decent pool. Location right next to the Dordogne. Catherine was a wonderful host, so lovely to chat with.

    Great hotel and outstanding restaurant. Lovely pool area . Nice big rooms in an old converted chateau with a contemporary feel, great terrace for evening drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic cycling

    We so enjoyed our stay at chateau Les Merles. It is beautifully furnished with a supper comfortable bed and lovely pool. Also great that they accept dogs too. The food and wine was delicious too.

    Beautifully and authentically decorated, stunning location with easy access to other lovely locations by car, you can hire canoes & bikes just a short walk along the river, lovely hosts, very helpful. We would return again.

    Worth stopping at this underrated hotel . Set in the countryside a short drive from Bergerac and the airport . Beautiful old property which has been stylishly renovated . Our room was lovely overlooking the gardens and pool . The staff were welcoming . The restaurant on-site was excellent. Parking on site .
