Situated in central Ouistreham, this ibis Styles property is just 500 metres from the beach and the fishing harbour. It offers en suite rooms with elevator access and free internet access.

The location was excellent. The room was spotless. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our buffet breakfast - freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, even vegan yoghurt and the bread was delicious. The room was small as described, but the bed was comfortable, and there was a good shower. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, as we arrived too late.

This Best Western is located in Ouistreham, 2 km from the ferry terminal and 7 km from Normandy's famous landing beaches. Guests can enjoy the outdoor heated pool.

I booked a wheelchair accessible room for my daughter but the hotel had not recorded this. They had a room available but it took quite a while for them to make the switch, and they charged us 20 euros extra. Everything else was excellent and breakfast was exceptionally good.

Boasting a garden and a terrace, La Glycine is situated in Bénouville, on the Normandy coast. 500 metres from Pegasus Bridge, the hotel offers a shared lounge and a bar. Free WiFi is provided.

The restaurant was good and the staff helpful. The heating in the room didn’t work properly and it was cold.

Facing the sea, this hotel is situated in Villers-sur-Mer in the Basse-Normandie region. This hotel has private terrace with sea view and offer a lounge bar.

A very nice small hotel right on the seafront and 2 minutes from the centre of town. We had a cosy double which is quite small, so you need to be organised! The breakfast room was lovely with great views. Breakfast was quite expensive, but there was a good range of delicious local products on offer. Special mention for Aurelian who took our cases to and from our car and gave us lots of valuable information about places to visit in the area.

Hôtel Des Quatrans is located in central Caen just 250 metres from the medieval Quatrans House and a 2-minute walk from the medieval Chateau Ducal. It offers a 24-hour reception and a bar.

Stayed here a few times. Always a pleasure. The gentleman on the desk wasn’t as happy as the other staff we usually encounter but it was no issue. We did however get talking to a gentleman in the town who knew me by name. Turns out he was the usual receptionist. We hadn’t been at this hotel for almost a year prior to the stay and he recognised us. Was very impressed. Lovely staff there. Parking outside and a car park two minutes walk away. Right in the town. Would recommend

Hotel Libera Caen Colombelles is located in Colombelles, just 6 km from the centre of Caen. It provides free WiFi access and free parking. There is also a restaurant open from Monday to Friday.

As a relatively cheap overnight 'motel' type stay, it was good. There was enough space, a compact cooker, sink and small fridge. The bed was comfortable and there was a desk and chair. Parking was easy. We were self catering, but the restaurant looked inviting and did evening meals and breakfast. The desk staff were very friendly.

Staff was lovely. Our bedroom had a gorgeous seaview. The hotel has a significant and interesting history. The breakfast was very nice with hot croissants, pain au chocolat and bread straight out of the nearby bakery

This hotel was chosen because of it`s location, but the impression is very good. Clean spacious rooms with interesting design. Parking lot has enough place for all visitors. Quiet place, despite it`s near the road.
