Samantha at the front desk was delightful, positive and very helpful during our visit. The property is located in the charming village very near Sancerre village. You must visit the winery and taste the Famille Bourgeois wines just a short walk up the street. The breakfast was enjoyable with standard options which meet our needs well. The staff member who manages the breakfast works hard to have all the tables properly set up for each guest. We recommend you inquire about the protocol if you need an extra plate, coffee mug or silverware, none of which are provided next to the buffet table area. Also, come early if you drink brewed Americano coffee, when it runs out, you will only have the option of the expresso machine, which was fine for us, but not everyone may want this choice. The property offers a pre booked dinner service which was very nice for our first night arrival. All the staff were professional and helpful to us, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had the top floor room overlooking the central square with a fountain in the center of the roundabout. We could also view the surrounding slopes of some of the vineyards on the hillside. Good location up the hill from Centre Ville about 500m. Secure bicycle storage. Good breakfast. Literary theme in an older but renovated building. Owner was kind enough to allow us to check in two hours early.
